If he only landing 14% against Ortiz, he will be lucky to land 10% against Pacquiao.
So you're saying if he doesn't land the jab on Pac often he'll lose the fight?

my guess after watching the fight a few times now, he was fighting a southpaw and was simply using his jab as a range finder for his right hand

if you're being objective you can clearly see Floyd was going for the KO in this fight, hence the amount of power shots he threw

floyd was using his jab differently than he normally does which usually is to score points
Interesting point, do you think when boxers fight boxers with the opposite stance, the jab becomes harder to landed and less effective?

Yes good points, setting up the right hand and throwing feints, although maybe counting as a miss according to compubox it was what Floyd wanted to do with the jab.

I noticed Floyd was more aggressive in this fight. Would people agree that aggresive fighter use the jab less for scoring blows and more for feinting and setting up other punches?

Land the jab, since the two jab hand are up against each other and normally cancel each other out.

Why worry about throwing jabs if your power punches are landing with a 49% regularity?

Are you saying if your power punches are landing at a high rate, you shoudn't worry about landing your jab?
