Why worry about an accurate jab when you are smacking a fighter with your straight right at will?

How does having a good right hand make your jab less accurate?

If he only landing 14% against Ortiz, he will be lucky to land 10% against Pacquiao.

I don't think he was looking to land it consistently. He was using it to set up his other punches, mainly the straight right. And he did that oh so well.

That is a good point, he was using the jab to create range and to set up other punches.

my guess after watching the fight a few times now, he was fighting a southpaw and was simply using his jab as a range finder for his right hand

if you're being objective you can clearly see Floyd was going for the KO in this fight, hence the amount of power shots he threw

floyd was using his jab differently than he normally does which usually is to score points

14% is very poor, especially against a guy like Ortiz.

It was only 4 rounds and Ortiz was moving and creating distance.

Guaranteed Floyd wouldn't have had to use it past 6 rounds.

Floyd didn't have a 6" height & 5" reach advantage like Vitali. He was also looking to set up the right hand & was throwing feints.
