  • Why was Mayweather jab so poor against Ortiz?

    http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/vi...ortiz-compubox

Mayweather jab was dreadfully poor against Ortiz, not as poor as Victor who didn't land a single jab.

Mayweather landed only 1 jab in round one, 2 jabs in round two and 3 jabs in round 4.

He only landed 14% of his jabs.

What is the reason behind this, afterall Ortiz is not hard to hit, even when he isn't standing infront of you with his hands down looking the other way.

He didn't feel the need to use it often. The lead rights were the money punch all night.

Ortiz kept moving backward and side stepped.

He threw it over 80 times in 4 rounds.

14% is very poor, especially against a guy like Ortiz.

amazing the lengths one will go to tarnish one fighter to make the other look good.

Ortiz footwork is not really that great, surprised Floyd had such problems with it?

I'm sure its because he read in your thread jabs don't count. Why bother if they don't count?

And that made him miss his jab.

Floyd percentage for his power punches were slightly bellow his average as well, despite Ortiz being very easy to hit.

                    /THREAD MOTHERF****ERS

Why worry about an accurate jab when you are smacking a fighter with your straight right at will?
