These were quotes from a "Top Rank insider." I can show you an official statement from a top HBO executive (at the time) that said that negotiations took place.

No he wasn't going to be taken to court for "lying".

Greenburg said he had been in talks with both sides. Arum said Greenburg had been somewhat of a mediator to the negotiations.

The one who lied was Oscar De la Hoya.

Who during the "2nd round of negotiations" who said that the fight is almost done deal. This was in video. Now I ask why would Oscar(I mentioned him cuz' you mentioned him just now OK) say this if there was no "2nd round of negotiaions"? Then Schafer said Oscar was "misquoted" which is Laughable.

Yes Ellorbe and Schafer talked about "Lie detector test". However, Arum never backed off from having the 2nd round of negotiations.

And, here's the thing Schafer, Ellorbe, Floyd, Oscar, Arum, Roach, Pac all have reasons to lie. Greenburg however, has no horse in this race. He has absolutely no reasons at all to lie. So for Greenburg to come out and say what he said then that's all the proof that any logical person should have that there was some kind of back and forth.

Ive seen what greenburg said. I dont need links i never said the negotiations didnt tqke place im just telling you arum did come out and say that there were o real negotiations that theynwere just mediations..and thats all greenburg did was mediate.

Anyone who followed the second negotiations knew from the beginning they wernt anything serious. Its 130am now im not about to look through articles from two years ago but if you wanna bump this tomorrow ill look when im on.

Fact ofnthe matter is arum never negotiated they just tried to get the same deal they turned down in the first negotiations after floyd had already said its off the table. And i remember clearly shaefer challenging him to amlie detector test which is when arum changed his tune so if u wanna look for yourself probably should start there.

Im not saying that they were trying to sue arum for lipying im saying with the current lawsuit, arum was legally binded to say thag the mediation between greenburg and the two promotional groups were not contractual negotiations.

Also yes i remember oscars dumb slip up but everyone at that time besides him and roach made it seem like talks wernt going well so im not really sure ehat oscar was trying to prove

Look at what you claiming and then read that(examiner not boxingscene) article. And, tell me if it's the same thing as what you claim.

You sure DLH wasn't misquoted like when he said negotiations were almost complete and contracts were on the verge of being signed... on video?

                Stop it.

Then what were they? What exactly Greenburg mediating then?

And, Oscar is just an idiot. He's a straight air head. I have no idea why anybody pays attention to what he has to say. He has no idea what goes on in that company.

Like i said when inposted this link, i wasnt going to sit here late at night n search for a link and i wasnt going to read that article.,cause truth be tokd this entire arguement doesnt mean anything just a dissagreement.

When it comes down to it arum was bull****ting through the second negotiations all I had said was there was a moment where he admitted that they wernt contractual negotiations just talks between the camps. And im stating this all of memory so if im wrong than i am sorry but right now i feel as if I remember when bob arum had admitted that there was no contractual, and i use that word because i know there were talks, but no contractual negotiations in the summer of 2010

Imo they were talks between the camps...

Smething along the lines of greenburg telling haymon Manny will accept 50-50 with 14 day cutoff and floyd saying no, no cutoffs or no fight...and that was probably the end of it. Then arum spinned it off as we have come to terms jut waiting for floyd to call.

Oscar is the name, i think the thing he does good for the company is mentoring the young fighters. He should tell ortiz to keep quiet around cameras though dont encourage tpthat man.
