To note there are a couple of decent HW's coming up so if he can manage to dispatch of these guys he needs to be taking more seriously. Wladimir hasn't exactly ducked fighters either. It's a shame Vitali overshadows Wladlimir sometimes, I think his brother holding the WBC Belt hurts his legacy.
Oh, man. My apologies, bro. I COMPLETELY misread you're orginal post.

I thought you said; "HAYE needs more consideration. He has been cleaning out the division for a long time" Not Wladimir.

I agree Wladimir has cleaned out the HW division and is rightfully the Lineal Champion at HW. He is the best HW of this era bar none and if he beats Haye he will add more to his legacy as a HOF HW.

Unfortunately, Wlad will never be considered greater than those fighters because he simply doesn't have the quality around him to do so. Regardless to the fact he has cleaned out the HW Division and is the best HW of this era.

I don't know he is in Vitali's shadow because I think Wlad is quite clearly the greatr brother.

      No, No, lol.

It'll be interesting to see how the legacy of Wladimir shapes up, once retired. And I agree the opposition around him is poor, with no real opponents posing much of a threat to him, denting his HW reign.

Wladimir is clearly the more accomplished but still Vitali being around doesn't help him IMO. I believe some aren't taking Wladimir seriously yet, perhaps, beating Haye will shed some light on him.

I still think the whole jumping weight classes is overrated. I think guys who remains at their desired weight class, cleaning from top-to-bottom is more of accomplishment than moving up grabbing belts, peaking on weak champions!

to the original question - I think, Pacquiao - BHOP are hard to split at the moment. A win for Pacquiao over Mayweather would defiantly see him as the higher ATG for sure, but the recent win over Pascal is impressive considering how old BHOP is..

I think beating Haye will make him be seen more seriously. Haye isn't anything special but he is the 2nd best fighter in the HW currently other than the Klitschko's so it's a good win none the less. And will enhance his legacy if he wins.

Well, I think that depends. I think it is overrated unless the fighter actually fights the best fighters in each division he fights in.

We have to consider the likes of Armstrong and Fitzsimmons etc who jumped alot fo weight but did beat the best and top fighters.

Whereas on the other hand we have Oscar De La Hoya is a 6 weight world Champion (the 2nd highest ever) who doesn't belong in the same sentance as Carlos Monzon for example.

So I do agree it is overrated but sometimes depending on who is fought it is very impressive.

I voted for Pac because it's a no brainer. Look at his resume. Then watch his fights. To a lot of people this is like giving a reason why they think MJ is higher on the ATG list than others.

There are few things in life that infuriate me than trying to rank the highest.

Idk but Wlad and Roy should be last on that list.

Please tell why you think its Pernell. Ive asked to be educated to the brilliance of Pernell, ive even posed as someone who dont know anything about him, but no body has told me what it is that Pernell did that is so mindblowing. Sell him to me.

Yes go on please tell me why its a foregone conclusion. Let me guess. Is it because he was able to manage a draw with the legendary 100 or so fights Julio Cezar Chavez?

I was going to leave this thread, but its always the same names going around trying to have the last word, and trying to have the last word with someone other than Pac is the best.

It has been broken down numerous times in this thread why Whitaker is greater than Pacquaio.
