Hate to break it to you, but that doesn't make the person better, only his circumstances.Comment

of course it makes them a better athlete.
If you matched up a special forces soldier from 1960 vs a special forces soldier today, who has the advantage?
its the special forces in today's time. they have advancement in weaponry & strategy.
Our athletes advantage is our better training, better equipment, better fields etc...
jab, you cant have it both ways. You cant say older is better then use the reason well if we had today's equipment training,
YOU DONT. OLD ATHLETES DONT.
THAT'S THE DIFFERENCE. THAT'S THE ARGUMENT.Comment

First post.....Active fighters are even more overrated - for instance, Pacquiao's record is rife with shot Mexicans, steroid abusers, cheaters, payed off Africans, fighters on the slide and an accumulation of paper titles along the way to his fictitious '8 division titles', but you often read his name being thrown around with the likes of Armstrong or Hagler.
Disgraceful, is the word to describe it.

Where exactly is the better training? Fighters fought longer, more often and more rounds in earlier era's. They did it with less weight classes, less titles and inferior equipment. Where is the better training?Comment
