Well see, that's what I think too. I got into boxing because of Oscar, TBH. I was probably about 8 years old when I saw him on the cover of a Ring Magazine, that I bought. Even before Mike Tyson, and RJJ, I was always an Oscar diehard. And I'm from Canada! (Across the river from Detroit though!) I can attest, that Oscar's influence runs WAY further than that of both Floyd and Manny! (Although Manny is catching up, and at this rate, COULD surpass DLH.) The only person of the last 25 years who poses a threat in terms of drawing power, to Oscar is Mike Tyson. No ifs, ands, or buts. That's it. Ask any casual sports fan you know, and I promise those are the first two boxers names out of their mouth. (Or possibly Ali.) Those two fighters are head and shoulders above the rest in terms of drawing power. And it can't even be argued.
Bigger draw-DLH or Pacquiao

I am going to do one tomorrow.
But, I think is only fair to count HBO PPVs because of HBO budget.
I don't think is fair to count the low budget independent PPV that Pac had in the lower weight-class.
And, I know for sure Floyd number will be bigger on average while Pac it will be really really close...Comment

Floyd and Pac are bigger than Oscar ever was?I don't care what you know, the fact is people have internet more so than they had the black box and a card writer at the time. So that argument is moot.
Now Pac and Floyd are bigger than Oscar ever was.
You really not saying shit the question is now, and right now they're bigger than Oscar ever was.
You're the one who is going to Burner and Horus standards by making excuses on why Floyd and Pac are bigger now. Saying if Oscar was fighting this era blah blah blah...
Oscar was a mainstream celebrity, not just boxing star, but mainstream celebrity the moment he won a gold medal. Let me say it again,
he became a mainstream celebrity once he won a gold medal in the Olympics. People who never, ever watched boxing, tuned in to see "The Golden Boy".
He was a star from the jump, his first pro fight, and didn't need to latch onto anyones coattails to make a name for himself.Comment

Sturm was a nobody back then(and still is regarding attraction/draw). Put Floyd against Malinangi or Campbell, that **** will not sell 1 million. No, he helped more than some. Oscar biggest PPV was 1.4 against Tito...Was that all Oscar too? Did Tito not helped? really?
And, Oscar-Floyd did a million more than what Oscar-Tito did. So yes he helped more than just some.
And, Oscar did less than f00k against sturm(in a record winning title fight) So what is your point?
Todays advancement in advertisement helped Floyd and Pac. If it was available during the beginning of Oscar, he probalby have 3-4 more 1 million ppv sell.Comment

And, that is all fine and dandy but he still not a bigger draw than what Floyd and Pac are right now. And, they didn't need to win any gold medal to accomplish that.Floyd and Pac are bigger than Oscar ever was?
