How come it doesn't matter? Pac and Floyd were making 400,000 ppvs before they fight them.

Oscar was a mainstream celebrity, not just boxing star, but mainstream celebrity the moment he won a gold medal. Let me say it again,

he became a mainstream celebrity once he won a gold medal in the Olympics. People who never, ever watched boxing, tuned in to see "The Golden Boy".

He was a star from the jump, his first pro fight, and didn't need to latch onto anyones coattails to make a name for himself.
Thank you. You were obviously around for all this. I don't know if I ever would have bought my first copy of "Ring" Magazine if Oscar wasn't on the cover of it in 1994. (When I was 8 years old.) I kept hearing about "The Golden Boy" and was intrigued. Much like I was when I would play Mike Tyson's Super Punchout (for NES) or Evander Holyfield's Read Deal (for Genesis). No fighter today has that type of impact on kids. No Floyd, not Manny, not NOBODY. UFC has WAY MORE of a mainstream appeal. (As much as I hate to admit it!)

But, I think is only fair to count HBO PPVs because of HBO budget.

I don't think is fair to count the low budget independent PPV that Pac had in the lower weight-class.

And, I know for sure Floyd number will be bigger on average while Pac it will be really really close...
Fair enough, I think using only HBO PPVs will eliminate some bias, but there will still be bias present somehow. You may compare these averages to the general average that don't include HBO PPVs and see how they are near or far from each other.

All 3 Morales fights, Barrera II, JMM II, Diaz, Oscar, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito were his only fights on HBO PPV correct?

Or am I missing some other fight?

Because, the question is not what they were doing before, it is what they're doing right now.

You're simply terrible in this one and its all due to your extreme hate for DLH.
How am I moving the goal post?

By averaging out HBO PPV events?

                OK...

Regardless. Bro, I hate to break it to you, but no matter how much you try to say otherwise..............Oscar is a bigger draw than Manny. UP UNTIL THIS POINT. Manny may become bigger down the road, but up until now............Oscar is still the PPV KING. And #2 is Tyson in my eyes. And Manny would fall in at number 3. And that's from a HUGE Floyd supporter. Manny is truly transcending the sport, right now, IMO. And good for him, for doing so!
