Judging by todays standards Floyd's win over Baldomir is totally legit.

The other thread about Arum discussing the possibility of P.Williams and Manny just proves what I have been stating all along. They first need to see Manny's performance against Margo and then gauge.

I agree with Arum that it would be difficult for Manny due to the height and reach difference but that is for another thread to discuss, I guess.

See so that is why I can't put this fight with Margo in the same context as Floyd vs Baldo. Baldo's name changes to Marquez or Hatton in his next fights but they are still a Baldo to me due to the disadvantages they come with at WW.

Let's hope Manny can beat Margo and then the doors will open for those you had previously mentioned (Angulo, Martinez, Williams or Floyd) and as I stated above, Arum proved what I thought myself.

again, every elite fighter is held to a higher standard than the rest for obvious reasons. that's why comparing elite fighters with other elite fighters is the best way to judge that fighter.

comparing pac's ww run and floyd's ww run shows how lacking floyd competition is. some people can make a case that pac's is better. the fact that its arguable proves my point.

Here is a short example of the double standard;

1. Mayweathers fights Oscar, wins and gets no credit. Pacqiauo fights him, gets tons of credit

2. Mayweather fights Hatton, wins and gets no credit. Pacqiauo fights him, gets ton of credit.

3. Mayweathers fights Judah, wins and gets no credit. Cotto fights him, gets tons of credit.

4. Everybody says Mayweather is ducking Mosley. Mayweather fights him, beats him, and gets no credit

Mayweather is the only person in the entire time ive watched boxing that gets zero credit for his wins. If you dont think Mayweather has fought anybody then thats fine, you have you opinion, but then you praise other fighters with wins over fighters he has fought and beat, that is a certified double standard.

Di Bushbaby, I just responded to you in another thread where you also state that Margo can beat Manny and can do things that Cotto and Clottey couldn't.

See, this is why I can NEVER EVER be convinced that Baldo is in that class as he wasn't even that good when he won the title. I explained why but nothing but I mean nothing can convince me that Baldo is in the same league. Plus, as I stated before, Floyd goes down that route too many times to convince me otherwise. Get it?

Back to Margo beating Sergio.... I have stated this in prior posts that Sergio was younger BUT if you really look at the fight it will show you something about Margo that is very interesting. Margo had a fast undefeated Sergio in front of him who also had decent movement. Sergio lacked the experience and power that he has now. This fight can resemble the fight with Manny if Manny can't give Margo respect. Sergio sometimes would hit Margo with 2-3 shots but Margo was OK because he was able to get 1-2 of his own and hurt Sergio. Sergio even got away after throwing a punch similar to Manny throws but Margo would occasionally hit Sergio with effective punches.

U guys still will not get it,Baldomir was the easiest win for the title at 147 for Floyd,look at 154 right now,Margarito is the easiest win for a title & he brings nothing to the table!!Baldomir brought titles & the fact that he just upset Judah,but people always **** on Floyd while adoring Pacman for cherrypicking too!!I still believe that a rematch against Cotto at 154 being trained by Manny Stewart is a much more legit fight because cotto moved up to 154 & beat a ranked champion,so he has legit standings there!!

ts's argument is that pac is taking the say way out just like pacfans and mayweather haters accused mayweather of dong by fighting baldomir for the title. and to make it worse, pac isnt getting nearly as much as mayweather got for fighting margs by way of titles and the such. if he wanted a 154lb title he should have fought the best, margs isnt the best. i think that sums it up.
