Judging by todays standards Floyd's win over Baldomir is totally legit.

If you look back over the pages you will see TS has been arguing that the Baldo fight was more legitamite, and deserving of praise
Also you will see people saying Margarito is a tougher opponent, so more deserving of praise
So I don't think I was missing the point

Doesn't bring anything to the table?
He brings his status and ticket sales, Margarito on your resume reads better than say K9 bundrage
He's not the hardest fight at 154, but he's the biggest name there from the past few years
I believe Pac would have faced him at 147, but Margarito came back at 154 so if a belts there why not

I agree with the TS its the easiest way to a belt at 154, so there shouldn't be any talk about Floyd taking the easy route.. but like people have said, just because its the easiest route to a belt at 154, doesn't make it meaningless.

k9 bundrage is probably like "damnit why can't a popular fighter beat me up and take my belt. i'm starving here!"

i totally agree dude. the blind hate is ridulous. i have never seen anything like. i cant remember anyone being judge to the standard that floyd is.

and when it comes to floyd and pac. people expect floyd to overachieve. and if he was to lose, he loses all credibility. but people expect pac to underachieve. and if he loses, its all good. it just further cements his legacy is he loses. BS

soemthing else. it only goes to show that people know how great floyd is. like joe budden said, 'you know you aint doing something right is the critics love you'

floyd calls himself the greatest fighter of all time. for the greatest fighter of all time he certainly avoids the tough fights and cherry picks a lot. he would have a good resume if he was a b level fighter but he's the self proclaimed greatest fighter of all time so why does he have such a flimsy resume?

Never said the Baldomir win was deserving of praise,I said if Pacman Margarito is ok,then so is Baldomir Floyd!!Margarito brings status & ticket sales, ohh yeah!!Pacman sold the Clottey fight all by himself!!What status exactly does Margarito bring??Last I checked he got caught in the act of cheating, then beaten from ringpost to ringpost, then was suspended for trying to hurt Mosley by cheating!!Then came back & beat some random guy,so what status do U speak of??

Floyd gets credit for fighting Oscar. Stop with the bs. Not to mention, pac came from having 1 fight at 135 and came up two freaking weight classes. Oscar came down TWO POUNDS.

Again, floyd got credit for that fight. But manny beat him at the weight were hatton was dominant and in a more impressive fashion.

Mosley was a good win, but if pac gets criticized for fighting an "old" barrera, then why not floyd?

Well 1 thing U definately got wrong is that Oscar was 144 a month before the fight, gained no weight after the weight-in & was 1 pound lighter than Pacman come fight night!!

except manny arguably did more in floyd's weight class in two years than floyd has for 5 years.

and that's pacquiao's fault how? he didn't force oscar to eat bambi or to came in light.

oscar expected that he would whoop pac, based on manny's troubles with marquez. not to mention he had to come up 2 weight classes and having 1 fight at 135 lbs. the fight was called a farce, people (including me) where expecting that manny's head was gonna get ripped off.

                    hindsight is 20/20.

so for the sake of argument, oscar indeed was a "zombie" that night. it was his own damn fault. it also doesn't take away the fact that manny whooped his cherry picking ass
