Manny is a great finisher in terms of throwing a large volume of punches, but he often get's sloppy and wreckless and misses tons. Tyson was a very clean finisher.

When Manny keeps his cool he's incredible at landing brutal shots when an opponent isn't expecting them, but he still has that tendency to get into a brawl.

      I'd take Tyson.

Tyson is #2 right behind Joe Louis in my list of best finishers.

When Tyson fought decent boxers they didnt drop. Pac is destroying top boxers in every division to this very day.
Tyson had a good spell. Pac is the better finisher.
Pac is not the better finisher. He couldn't even get Cotto out of there despite hurting him early. And that was a version of Cotto who already took a very bad beating from Margarito and was KO'd by Margarito much earlier. And Cotto is a guy who has been down and stunned many times before so it's not like he was knocking out someone invincible.

Oscar was dead. He couldn't even put him down despite all the punches he landed.

Morales: past prime and a bit drained coming back down in weight.

            Diaz: no need to discuss.

Ricky Hatton: already taken apart and KO"d by Floyd. Looked like crap against Lazcano and was badly hurt in that fight. Roach even mentioned Hatton's demise.
Either way, I do admit that was a great KO. It's just his chin looked more vulnerable by then.

Remember, Tyson was also fighting fighters much taller than him and out-weighed him many times. It's harder to hit those tall guys, especially the ones that move and/or clinch. Ask Pac about why he didn't fight Yuri Foreman.
Lots of guys held on and played defense to prevent the KO...kind of like Clottey did with Pac (as far as playing defense). If there are no openings, it's very hard to get that KO.

The key for Tyson of course was how he trained. That technique, and those drills {the "Willy"} that he was doing helped get his speed up to peak levels. Without it, without that speed at that level and without those fluid accurate combinations, he went down hill just like his ability to KO people.

Pac is an example of someone as well that has trained his way up to a level where his speed combined with the volume at which he throws in combinations can stun you with a punch you don't see coming and then he may drop you....and possibly get the KO. But it takes a lot more punches from him to hurt you and even finish you off. Tyson had that luxury of when he hits you, at that time, you usually stayed hit.

Once this type of fighting, type of speed, type of combination punching, from him declined, he wasn't as effective...

Louis is the best finisher for sure.

Do you know not know how lineage works?

Spinks was the linea champ man. Who did he lose it to? Answer that?

Another hollow bait thread by the Floydies... What's next? Who hits harder: George Foreman (Prime) or Pacquiao?

Then that means Tua was a one punch KO guy, not a finisher right?
