Not by the ring, the ring had Spinks as champ. Do you know why? Because, you have to beat the champ to be the champ. Unless you fighting for the vacant title.... Why do you think Spinks walked in with the ring belt?

Don't be such a troll man use common sense for once.

Is no need to try to diminish Tyson(which you not doing a good job BTW). Tyson possibly is the better finisher. But, it helps having one punch KO power. Pac doesn't have that so he is on a disadvantage automatically. He stops guys due to speed and accumulation of punches. Tyson did it by speed and true KO power.

So is nothing wrong with saying Tyson was the better finisher. Is nothing wrong with giving Tyson credit for beating ATG fighters in Holmes and Spinks. At the end of the day Pac is the overall greater fighter. So why sit here and say ****** **** in order to defend Pac. When at the end of the day Pac ranks higher at the ATG category.

Of course Mike was, but its not fair comparing these guys to one another because their weight was so different. A heavyweight has to be more careful because they can punch their selves out faster.

            What does that mean?

Tyson was HW, he fought in the Men's division. No "catch-weights" no "he is to tall." excuses allowed. You fight.

            Pac, the boys division.

Tyson would kill Pac in a fight so Pac and his boys made up divisions to separate the Lions from the cubs.

Now that is the ultimate truth.

And yes, it is allowed for discussion because when boxing was originally fought, there was only one division...and for a reason. Think about why.
I disagree with you Benny, Pacquiao did more in the lower weights than Tyson did at HW. The general public tends to know more about Hw's and hold it in a higher standing, but Pacquiao has an ATG resume in comparison to Tysons.

Barrera was a prime ATG that Manny dismantled. Morales was past his prime but not too the point where he should be considered shot. He put up a hell of a war in the first 2 fights there was no way he was totally shot.

Marquez is another ATG FW that Manny beat.

I'm going to say Cotto, although he lost to Margarito, he looked as if he trained his ass off for the Pacquiao fight. His hand speed and alertness was far better than what we saw against Clottey earlier.

No, at the end of the day you may argue that Pac is the greater "P4P" fighter. But overall, he is not the greater fighter compared to Tyson. Again, why?
Because Tyson was a HW and would take Pac's head off had they fought.

There is a reason why Ali said he was the Greatest, Greatest HW, but SRR was the greatest "P4P" fighter to ever live. Ali beats SRR in a boxing match...just like Tyson does with Pac.

You can disagree with me all you want...and I know you are a good poster...however, prove me wrong.

Who beats Tyson that Pac has fought?

So in the end, when you really want to look at the truth, without all the bull**** Mommie protection rules, and going back to the original way with how boxing was intended, one division, Tyson is the greater fighter because not only would he beat every single opponent Pac fought, he would also beat Pac and Pac stands little chance of beating who Tyson fought.
