Pac wants the Biggest money fight now and that is Floyd!!! Pac always take the greatest Challenge!! He's not like Floyd!!Already Paul Williams and Tim Bradley have called out many pacquio. Bob Arum, manny's promoter, has made it clear neither will get a fight with manny because they don't bring anything monetarily to the table.
Floyd has been accused of ducking top flight welterweights Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito, choosing instead to fight Carlos Baldomir and Oscar Dela Hoya. Manny will likely fight Cotto again at 154 lbs and/or the disgraced Margarito at 154 should he be reliscenced. Manny will make more for these fights then he would fighting Bradley or Williams, although both, as of this post, are top flight welterweights.
In floyd's "absense" will manny become the new floyd? Will he only pick and choose big money fights (as some have accussed floyd) rather than fight elite prime welterweights? Please discuss!Comment

If he fights Williams it wouldn't be for a belt though.
The WBC, being the awesome organization they are, told Martinez he couldn't be the WBC champ in two weight classes at the same time and asked him to choose which one he wanted to keep, he chose to keep the 160 pound belt.I'm still don't understand how the he'll they stripped Martinez that fast of the belt.
Obviously the whole thing is a farce and it's unfortunate, but it is what is and the fact remains that if Pac fights Margarito it would be for that WBC belt and if Pac were to fight p-will it wouldn't be (even though it should be the opposite!).
Again I think p-will kinda hurt himself by weight class hopping. If he would have stayed at 147, he would be one of the top guys. If he stayed at 154 the entire time, he could have been the top guy with numerous belts. But he didn't.Comment

I can agree with that. To be honest my dude who ever is advising p will needs to be fired asap. I don't think he takes the Martinez fight. If he fights Williams it wouldn't be for a belt though.

I know I just hope that when you go to the pac fan private spots just share the logic with them. Manny is going to do the same as floyd because he fights for money. he just doesn't say it out loud like floyd does.why do you keep sayin brethren? I'm just me, man. I just represent my views on here.
I don't know about that man, those guys you're talking about are hall of famers, all time greats and legends though. With exception to the Berrara rematch all those fights were legit rematches (lost first fight to Morales, second was rematch third was rubber match & Marquez).
Not sure I would argue that but I think clearly the case people make is that hatton didn't have much business at 147 and was a natural 140 pounder. He was always a bit overrated to me though regardless the weight.
A lot of that had to with the reputation floyd got as a cherry picker or a ducker of the best opponents, regardless if it was warranted or not that's the reputation he got for himself over the years. His last fight was obviously a spectacular win over Mosley, old or not, and I think that should be viewed as him taking a challenge. So maybe it is a bit unfair to some extent but I think most people are looking at resumes over the past several years, not just the most recent fights.Comment

Who is a top contender and who is not...
Manny doesnt have to be the New Floyd ! Manny is fighting and that's what fighters do, while Floyd is RESTING... nobody accused Floyd, his last fight was against a 38 year old man who still have some power but have lost the speed that was making him a top contender. That fight was an easy fight for Floyd, it was not even close to being a war, a real Top contender will always give a war to the champion. EXEMPLES of top contender in the history of Boxing : Duran who fought Leonard, Hearns, Leonard himself against Benitez, please stop defending a fighter who refuse to fight in wars.Already Paul Williams and Tim Bradley have called out many pacquio. Bob Arum, manny's promoter, has made it clear neither will get a fight with manny because they don't bring anything monetarily to the table.

Not true. ODh and Hatton were not the greatest challenge. Morales #3 was not the greatest challenge. David Diaz was surely not the greatest challenge at 135. Cmon lets be honest.Comment
