Marg was not ww chanp at time. Zab was lineal WBc/WBA/IBF champ after beating cory spinks. Baldo beat him for wba/wbc belts (zab didn't put up IBF onsome bs technicality) then floyd beat zab for IBf then marg wn WBO title then floyd fought baldo for lineal title.

Cotto maybe marginally(emphasize the maybe) better but think about what your saying with Margarito. A guy who is still suspended in the US for cheating and his last legit fight was over 2 years ago against Mosley who completely dominated him. He has since then only fought once and that fighter was Roberto Garcia. A fighter who has yet to beat one solid fighter... Berto's resume right now is as good as Marg's resume when he called out floyd as the lineal champ if not better.

Proof. That fact has never been in dispute.

We agree Judah is a clown never really serious about his craft. But he had the title and lost it. Baldomir is by no means a great fighter.

You can talk about how baldo was not a legitimate lineal champ but he had done more in his career than Marg had at the time and i'm sure you remember the people criticizing floyd for fighting zab instead of baldomir.

Already Paul Williams and Tim Bradley have called out many pacquio. Bob Arum, manny's promoter, has made it clear neither will get a fight with manny because they don't bring anything monetarily to the table.

Floyd has been accused of ducking top flight welterweights Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito, choosing instead to fight Carlos Baldomir and Oscar Dela Hoya. Manny will likely fight Cotto again at 154 lbs and/or the disgraced Margarito at 154 should he be reliscenced. Manny will make more for these fights then he would fighting Bradley or Williams, although both, as of this post, are top flight welterweights.
