Sure, I'm not ruling out the possibility, but it's a boxing myth that just because a fighter loses that he'll never fight better than before.
Its not even a myth in boxing that a loss makes you a lesser boxer. Its just something *****s reserve for Pacs victims. Pac beats Cotto, only because Marge beat him. Pac only beat Hatton because PBF beat him.
The rule only applies to Pac it seems.

Because surely the david haye who lost to carl thompson isnt the same David haye who is whooping everyones butt now? David haye is better after a loss thats for sure. So why dont that apply to hatton and Cotto?

pac definitely KTFO the better version of hatton. both were in hatton's weight class...

floyd KTFO the ****** version of hatton. coming up in weight and kissing that corner.

in anyway you look at it, hatton's skills were limited by the corner pole and the swift destruction of pac (leaving him no chance to show if he really got some skills)

Hatton was the lineal champ and in his natural weight when pac beat him while on floyd hatton was just mediocre and bloated at 147 who wobbled by a collazo, hatton was better in 140lbs than 147lbs so pac beat the better version of hatton.....

              No because I have eyes.

Watch how healthy and strong Hatton looked at 147 vs. Floyd.

Then watch his frail ass vs. Pac.

Maybe there is no better version of hatton, they both exposed him, PBF wasnt going in for the kill like Pac was.

Whats not to say that if Manny fought him first it would have gone more than 2 rounds?

Or that if PBF saw how fast Manny KO Hatton, he would go for the kill to try to get him out of there as fast as he could?
                  faster then 10 rds

You are right. If that was true then there would be no point for rematches nor trilogies. Ali was knocked down by Frazier and had his jaw broken by Norton. Did George Foreman's fight an Ali that was someone else's 2nd, 3rd or 4th scraps? No!

Ali came back and defeated all 3 later on in his career.

Hatton lived at 140. That was when he was best. Not at 147. There is no reason to think otherwise but either due to not knowing enough about the sport of boxing or because of their biased views they will say Floyd.

After fighting a not so good fight with Collazo, Hatton went back down to 140. After fighting Floyd, Hatton went back down to 140 and beat a couple of guys before fighting Manny.

While it's already obvious, if Hatton had beaten Manny, I'm sure everyone would have picked against Manny...... still Hatton lived at 140 ......this is so so clear!
