he was undefeated and he really thought he would beat mayweather. did you watch the 24/7? hatton said it himself he lost alot of confidence after the mayweather fight.

and he already stated previously after the Collazo fight where he was almost stopped, that he wasnt fit for 147.....well he fought Manny at 140 where he in fact was still undefeated and considered the best 140 lbr in the world...the lineal champion......

he had been calling out mayweather and had been mocking his lack of punching power for a while. did you watch the 24/7?

he really believed he would beat mayweathers ass. i think he truely underestimated manny almost arrogantly. in my opinion confidence is sharper than over confidence bordering arrogance.

The way Hatton was going at Manny, Hatton fought quite confident. During the 24/7 episodes both Hatton and Mayweather Sr looked very confident and thought Manny had so many holes in his arsenal.

Actually, if Hatton was less confident and thought a bit about defense, he could have lasted another couple of rounds.

Hatton said AFTER the Floyd fight that he was KING at 140 .... that's confidence, man!

But at 140, Hatton was reportedly "not ready" for Mayweather.

is that similar to how mayweather wasn't ready for cotto or margarito and fake retired? he was ready for hatton and baldomir for some reason. just a coincidence i suppose.

What? When did Floyd say that he wasn't "ready" for Tony or Cotto?
