If you are trying to say he has a suspect resume then that is another discussion, I believe. Still, he did fight some qualified candidates such as Tszyu, Urango and if you wish, Paulie.

The point is that he LIVED at 140. Some fighters look great at one division but terrible in another division. This can be for many reasons. Example, boxers(opponents) at 140 are smaller than 147...... some boxers have some power at 140 but can't carry it up to 147 .... some boxers lose their speed when they move up .....

Hatton had one fight to show for at 147 and he didn't even look so good.

Ever since Floyd moved up to 147, he has liked fighting guys that will give him an edge. Floyd knew that he can use his size to beat an aggressive Hatton.

That is why I give the edge to Floyd over Manny .... If FLoyd uses all the advantages that come with that size edge, Floyd can take the win

it's a good read, i've been meaning to tell you about it.

he talks about Trinidad a lot, apparently the loss haunted him but he says he's at "peace" because he knows he won.

Floyd vs Hatton at 140 would have been interesting with a ref other than cortez. i think floyd wins 116-112 but i think hatton would have had his little good moments.
Callazo has always been tough so not being able to badly hurt him doesn't mean a lot. He hung in there against a rejuvenated Mosley with plenty of pop and took some nice shots against berto and fought threw them. Hatton caught him off balanced and knocked him down witch was more than I expected him to do.

That didn't mean as much as one would think. Hatton still remained undefeated at 140 and thought he was KING at 140. This was by Hatton's own admission. Was it true? Well, Manny proved him wrong.

Still, the most important thing in all this is that Hatton was not Hatton at 147. The real Hatton was and will always be recognized at 140lbs.

It is rather silly to say hatton was better or worse when he fought either Pac or PBF. You could make a case either way, but it would only be ever so slightly.

The problems only arise because Pac beat Hatton much better than PBF did.
The result is PBF *****s will get defensive about that fact, and make a case for Hatton being better when he fought PBF.
Wont accept the fact that Pac is just able to beat Hatton better than PBF. It cant be that simple for them.

I think equal. It's ridiculous how people believe that because a fighter loses he'll never perform the same again. I'm an actual boxer, I've trained alongside pros and amateurs who've also been undefeated at one point and one loss does not depict the effectiveness of their style. Sure, I'm not ruling out the possibility, but it's a boxing myth that just because a fighter loses that he'll never fight better than before.

He should get no credit for Mosley since Vernon Forrest, Winky and Cotto got to him before he did.

Juan Manuel Marquez was Pacquiao's sloppy seconds..

                  Zab Judah was Tszyu's..

                  so on and so forth..
Before Mayweather or Pacquiao, there was Collazo.

                    Mayweather.

But it's also a matter of styles.

how can anyone say pac beat a better version? you must really be riding his **** hard. A guy cant become a better version after having to lose more weight, getting older, getting knocked out, and getting his undefeated record wrecked
