floyd should have fought cotto that would have solidified his ww resume, fighting ricky was fine but instead of wasting time re-matching oscar he should have fought cotto.

there is no way around that you don't chose to not to fight a guy like cotto you just don't unless the fight was impossible to make

Again, what sense does it make to fight Shane in your first fight back after that layoff? Hes entitled to take a tune up and shake off ring rust. Why cant Floyd take a tune up but EVERY other fighter can with no beef.
Tht was not thee fight. It was a huge fight but not thee fight.

I keep hearing he is top 5 the most skilled fighter of all time since beating Shane. Some people are saying the most complete fighter of all time. And, he couldn't fight Shane in coming a less then 2yr layoff? While less skilled fighters like Ali and Leonard fought just as hard or even tougher comp in their first fight after a long layoff. I thought he was skilled as these guys that he couldn't do what they did?

Hatton-Mayweather?? Jro seriously we cant knock Floyd for taking that fight.

I do think he is the most skilled of all time. Bar none.

Who cares what Ali and Leonard did? What does that have to do with Floyd? He wanted a tune up. He can take one. Hes not banned form tune ups man. Thats just ridiculous.

That is not a fact that is an opinion. How many people said that there was no way that Buster Douglas could beat Mike? Or no way that Holy could beat Mike? Or no way that Leonard could beat Hagler? No way that Tarver could beat Roy? Or no way Ali could beat Liston or Foreman.

That is why you fight the fights no? To prove it, you can only prove it in the ring you can not prove it on paper.

I can keep on screaming that Pac would beat Floyd. But, that means **** unless Pac steps in the ring with him and proves it.

Blame Mosley. Floyd made him multiple offers since 1999, but Mosley rejected every offer Floyd made. Ask Jin!

Hatton-Pac was not thee fight it was a big fight. Nobody at the time would have ranked Hatton top 3 amongst WWs. Nobody.... It was not thee fight it was a big fight.

Could Floyd have fought Shane in his fight back yes or no? Would that be even looked as a greater win of what he got on Saturday yes or no?

Did he make Shane an offer in 07 or 09? If you don't know go ask Jin.

I simply don't agree because he doesn't know the future. I'd rather believe that he let his hands heal. And if he ran through that gauntlet as you mentioned, pac would not have replaced him as P4P king. As a fan, except of course if his hands is injured, I'd rather have him fight cotto, marg, pwill, etc than retiring and coming back for the money.

In retrospect I'm glad he didn't fight cheatto who knows what his wraps were like back then. But I do feel some regret he didn't Fight Cotto when he was prime. But he can still fight Paul Williams.
