Could Floyd have fought Shane in his fight back yes or no? Would that be even looked as a greater win of what he got on Saturday yes or no?
Nobody cared if that was at WW or not. Man that fight was HUGEEEE!!!!

We cant go back and change history and act like boxing wasnt going ape**** over that fight.

He couldve fought Shane in his first fight back but he didnt. It doesnt diminish his win because he fought him 8 months later. It isnt like Shane was knocked out in 11 rounds by Margarito before he fought Floyd. Its still a great win.

As a fan, except of course if his hands is injured, I'd rather have him fight cotto, marg, pwill, etc than retiring and comin g back for the money.
Any real boxing fan should want that. I can not for the life of me not see how can you call yourself a true boxing fan and say it was brilliant not to run the gauntlet. Because, he is getting more money now. Like they're getting a piece of the pie.

I never seen a group of fans that care so much about another man money as some Floyd fans do. I can not tell you how much money Tito got paid, or how much his live gate was, or how much PPV he had. I don't know the answer to those questions. I do not care about that. The only thing I cared about was him proving himself. Fighting everybody in his block. That is the only thing that mattered to me. I remember me getting upset because Tito fought Thiam instead of Winky, Vargas, Simon, or even Castillejo. Besides Vargas none of them was a big name and big money or PPV draw. But, I didn't care about that. All I knew is that they were better then Thiam and I wanted Tito fighting the best. And, I bashed him for it no excuses. Is like some Floyd fans get some money from Floyd.

Yeah. But I think he would defeat Marg wraps or not. Looking at how he disposed on Shane who has good handspeed, Marg would not even have time to get into whirlwind mode before Floyd catches him and make him reset. Lolz.

It doesn't diminish but would it have been greater?

What are you talking about? Man I made more threads about Floyd fighting Marg, Cotto and Williams then anybody on this forum. I never said I wanted him to retire.

I dont really see how. Shane was actually ranked higher when Floyd beat him because Floyd took out JMM. 8 months wouldnt make a difference.

Lolz. What I cant stand is non-stop debates about money and ppv stats like it was rebounds and steals in basketball. I would rather discuss Compubox even if it has flaws. At least they are related to the actual sport itself.

You remember the news Floyd saying that he is considering fighting Tito. Lolz.

Look at the OP man. Look at how many agreed that it was a brilliant move not to run the gauntlet.

Yea when Tito was coming off his 2nd retirement. I wish Tito would of fought him at 160.
