There is a reason that Floyd was willing to fight Pac with 8oz gloves.

But, as a boxing and any true boxing should not be all excited that he retired and not fight Cotto, Margarito, Williams, and a younger more active version of Shane. Still a great version of Shane but a younger more version.
You dont think that he was ever serious about trying to fight Shane in 06?

Would he really? I'm not too sure about that. Hell, they sent ELLERBE to check Shane's gloves. They could at least have sent Raffy.

I think Floyd needs a new assistant trainer. I have no idea what Nate does other than wear the bodybelt.

I think he retired because of his injuries. He looks the healthiest now He has ever been.

He's making a list and Knocking them off. Next on the P4P hitlist Fanny Quakquiao.

Floyd basically did what SRL did. Fought the 3 to 5 guys that defined a whole career.

In SRL's case, he fought Benitez, Duran, Hearns and Hagler. Does anybody really care about Kalule?
SRL fought Kalule. Top JMW ATG JMW. Is an underrated win in his resume. The one guy they do talk about SRL not ever fighting is Pryor.

I don't care what anybody says there was no excuse for him not fighting Stevie Johnston or Cotto, Margarito, hopefully he will fight Williams.

That is like me saying IF Pac beats Floyd. Then it was OK for him not to fight Shane or Guzman. No of course is not OK, yes he beat Floyd awesome. But, he didn't face Guzman at 130 when Guzman was an elite fighter there. He didn't Shane at 147 when everybody was looking at Shane when he was the best WW. Beating Floyd does not erase that. Is great accomplishment but doesn't erase that.

Same thing for Floyd. beating Pac great accomplishment but doesn't erase that he avoided some elite fighters.

Brilliant move, yes... Great he fattened his pocket didn't try to run to gauntlet in order to keep his "0". But, any REAL boxing fan should of wanted to see him try.

06? Yes 07, 08, and 09? No... He should of fought Shane right after Shane beat Collazo and look good. He should of fought Cotto right after Cotto beat Shane, he should of fought Margarito right after Marg beat Cotto, He really should of fought Shane in his come back fight. I don't want to hear about a tune up cuz Ray Leonard and Ali came after long layoff and fought tough in their first fight back. And, a lot of people that he is better than Ali and Leonard. And, he would of gotten a lot of more credit then he is getting now.
