Yes, i mentioned Kalule. I'm saying does the average fan care about AK? If you asked the average Pinoy boxing fan about Leonard-Kalule, what do you think would happen?

      Seriously?

I actually do. When is the last time Arum and Floyd worked together since the split? It aint happened.

I have no idea why people think Floyd is afraid to fight people. Hes not. You said it yourself that he wouldnt fight Shane before Pac because it was too risky. Then its signed and he gets dominated.

If you really wanted to you could almost say that Floyd vs. Marg and Cotto were mismatches. But i wont say all that. I do believe the beef with Arum at that time was too much to overcome.

I don't want to hear about a tune up cuz Ray Leonard and Ali came after long layoff and fought tough in their first fight back. And, a lot of people that he is better than Ali and Leonard. And, he would of gotten a lot of more credit then he is getting now.
He wanted to fight Shane right after Shane KO'd Vargas!!

I think Floyd needs a new assistant trainer. I have no idea what Nate does other than wear the bodybelt.

They would post a picture of Floyds head chopped onto a chicken.

**** the casual fans though Bernardo. They do nothing to ensure your legacy. We hardcore fans know how good that win for Leonard was. And, really he took that as a keep busy type of fight. That is why Ray Leonard is Ray Leonard. That is why it will be hard for Floyd to be ranked around Ray. Even if he beats Pac.

And, for the record even if Pac beats Floyd. I would not put Pac on the level of Leonard and Duran. Because, they didn't fight some elite fighters that they should of fought.

So, Floyd "retires". Then comes back and fights a lightweight and makes $30 million. While he was out, the welterweight division worked itself out, and the top two guys who emerged? Shane Mosley and Manny Pacquiao. The two guys that he'd get the most "legacy bump" from beating.

Mayweather just crushed Mosley (for another $30 million) and has a giga-fight with Pacquiao on the horizon.

Mayweather's rep as a "ducker" or "runner" is gone (among reasonable boxing fans), in the wake of his dominating performance against Shane. He has reclaimed the #1 WW spot, and reclaimed the #1 pound-for-pound crown on most/many lists.

HOW SWEET DID EVERYTHING WORK OUT FOR THIS DUDE?
would just like to chime in and say that mayweather's retirement was preplanned, i.e. he said exactly for how long he would be out and returned exactly when he said he would return. so he didn't just retire and came back on a whim when the division had worked itself out or when whoever he was purportedly ducking was gone etc

How would Arum stop those fights from happening? Explain? He couldn't demand a big purse. He couldn't demand a big PPV split. What exactly Arum have demand at the time? Fight Cotto in MSG?

It's not bull****. There was genuine venom: lawsuits, and public arguments.

I was piping this chick who called me to tell me that "my boy was tripping" when she went to NABJ in Vegas. She knew I was a big boxing fan.

Floyd, Arum and Don King were together at a symposium on sports, and Mayweather was attacking the promoters - specifically Arum.

When you PAY somebody NOT to do business with them, you don't then turn around and immediately do business with them. Right?
