I think some people miss the point about the Lewis Klitschko fight

What are the facts that seem to bother you?

    - That Vitali's lost to the two best fighters he's ever faced
    - His top 3 wins are against an overweight Kirk Johnson, Corrie Sanders, and Larry Donald
    - That his glossy high KO % you like to point out so often is compiled largely of fringe contenders and German club fighters
    - That the cut(s) he suffered agaisnt Lennox Lewis were the direct result of Lewis landing 50% of his power punches

I'd say those are the key facts that send you into a girly little huff.

Just like the VK fans should quit using the cut as an excuse you should stop saying that VK fought overweight fighters...that is part of the sport...

a fighter is told when and where too fight...they then prepare accordly...all the VK haters like to point out that Johson and Sanders were overweight...VK should be given just as much credit for the wins regardless of the shape a couple of dip**** professionals showed up in.

Just like LL should be given credit regardless of how he managed to win the fight. Only difference is Sanders and Jophnson never deserve to step into the ring with VK...ever and Vk earned a second crack at LL-this cannot be disputed.

Regardless of their condition, when Kirk Johnson and Corrie Sanders are 2 of the 3 biggest wins of you're career, you're not deserving of the overwhelming hype surrounding you.

Name 10 heavyweights with better resumes than Lennox Lewis...I don't see how you can leave him out of your top 10.

The bottom line is Mercer wasnt a big money fight.Again Lewis is a top 10 heavyweight, something Vitali has to work on before we hail him as one of the best!
Well you said Mercer wasnt big money. Although Vitali was worth 40 million. That's as much as the Tyson fight if not more. Do you honestly believe Lewis thought he could beat Vitali second time around? It took him 1 year to make up his mind if he could or couldn't, and actions speak louder than words. Why do you still try to defend that Lewis didnt dodge a rematch? Yes he established himself as a great champion, and definately a top ten in my list and many others, but there is no denying that Lewis dodged the Vitali Klitschko rematch.

I'm sorry but 2 wins over an old Jack Dempsey and Tommy Gibbons dont make you a top 10 all-time great heavyweight.

EDIT: In that case ^, why isn't Michael Spinks on the top 10 HW list? He beat a greater top 10 heavy twice who was closer to his prime...

                  A moot point.
The public didnt care for those rematches, nor were they near as dramatic as Klitschko vs Lewis, and everyone knows this.

Ehh all those fighters can be argued with, but I think Lewis definately makes it to the top 10. Spot no.7 on my list.
