      I'm an idiot? How?

Lewis never gave a rematch in his career to anyone who gave him a good fight, only to the ones who knocked him senseless. If there was no revenge factor in it for Lewis, he was always a "take the money and run" kind of guy. Hell, Ray Mercer was an old man, and still swelled Lewis' head up like a balloon. Rematch?

      No.

Lewis knew that old man gave him a run for his money, and he knew it was a good fight, but he didn't want to risk it.

      Actions of a true champion?

      Of a warrior?

      Not to me...

Ray mercer wasn't an old man, he was probably just at his peak when he fought lewis, a lot of heavyweights reach their peak when they're about 35, Mercer was as good as just about any other heavyweights at that moment in time.

WTF u talking about. He fought everyone, it wasnt his fault that Bowe was a *****, that Tyson didnt want to fight him in 96.Again, Lewis ddint dodge anyone.

The bottom line is Mercer wasnt a big money fight.Again Lewis is a top 10 heavyweight, something Vitali has to work on before we hail him as one of the best!

Alright, my mistake, I stand corrected. But still, why no rematch? I never thought it was a shutout by any means, actually thought it was a good fight...

Why would anyone compare compare a retired HW hero to someone who just started?

Just because he has the WBC belt?

i think it's fair to say that lewis was not a risk taker, but that fight wasn't a title fight and lewis probably just thought it wasn't worth the risk again, anyway that's a different matter to the one in this thread
