Shouldn’t Mayweather be applauded for wanting testing for PEDs?

Manny's team knew this was an outrageous amount and that Floyd has NEVER weighed over the 147 limit for a welter weight fight. It was also the first large and unusual request in the negotiations.Like I have said before-would people be blaming Manny for the fight failing if Floyd rejected this stipulation,or would they still continue to find ways to justify the request.
As I see it,fair is fair-if one side has a large or unusual request, then it is only fair for the other person to have their own-within reason.I,along with most people had viewed the random testing with a 14 day cut off from the blood testing,to be VERY fair. It makes you wonder if Floyd's request would have existed if Manny didn't make one for himself...we are dealing with two of the biggest boxing egos in the sport. If you think Manny doesn't have much of an ego or problems in negotiations-then look back to the problems that occured with the negotiation process between Oscar,Hatton, and Cotto fights. They almost never happened and were called off at various points.
So based on your reasoning, if 14 days is VERY fair, then 24 days would be FAIR right? That would make it a REASONABLE request right?

If floyd jr. agreed to what you considered an UNREASONABLE stipulation of $10 million, why then would he reject a REASONABLE request of 24 days?

Besides, for a blood test to detect a user, he must take it within 48 days of injecting himself with hgh. With a 14 day window, it makes the test practically useless.

i cant believe the contradiction of his post.

      you are ******ed? must be.

of course its about self preservation. but at the samme time, it is good for the sport. b/c if the two biggest stars in the sport are taking test to make sure the playing field is even, its sets a precedent. other fighters will start wanting it then the boxingcommission will have no choice but to update testing methods, being that boxer will be saying the current testing method isnt good enough.

so the commission will be acting on the boxers behalf for "self-preservation"

      you *******s are idiots

Oh and i made a mistake in my previous post.

I said that urine tests can detect hgh. I was wrong. They are however, working on one that CAN detect hgh.

The same guy who pissed on the sport by showing up 2 pounds overweight to a scheduled catch-weight bout had a stroke of kindheartedness and decided he wanted to clean up the sport...gtfoh I'm tired of people being so damn naive. It's ridiculous.
Let's be honest here-Every single one of those fighters you mentioned could be whining at the same notion of testing. When Pacquiao is asked to do these tests,he screams defamation. Someone will have to be first, wouldn't they? There are rumours out there and reasons to warrant su****ion....why not let the testing these days get more fierce? Is it really that bad? What is there to really oppose and how is it productive to Manny's image/ reputation by refusing them?

Asking for that weight penalty was a logical move Floyd should've seen coming.

Demanding ODST for the first time in your career against a man who's never shown any evidence of ped usage is not.

All he had to do was drop it and he'd have the fight.
when did floyd ever say he was going to come in at 144? post proof. i can post many vids where hes always said "this is a WW fight" meaning that anything up to 147lbs WW limit is acceptable. meaning, he was not going to kill himself trying to make 144.

you fail. he has never come in over 147

Funny how people on this site defend Pac like they know him or something. Pac has millions of reasons to use PED'S. No other prize fighter in history would turn down the amount of money he was offered because he didnt like random blood testing. Could you really see Arum's greedy ass allowing Pac to pass up a huge payday unless he knew something would come out in he tests?

Problem is that people let their hate for Mayweather cloud their judgement.

Rumors? Where did these rumors come from then? Floyd Mayweather's father?
