Dana White has done a good job lying to his UFC/MMA fans. Obviously the bastard has been telling MMA fans that MMA has always beat boxing in PPV buys. My MMA friends were arguing with me and my boxing fan homies that UFC beat JMM/Floyd, once we schooled them they were speechless when we showed them facts, they actually thought boxing was dead and doing really bad, they believed all the bull**** Dana White was telling MMA fans.

Truth is MMA is the one doing bad, boxing has been doing geat even better than ever if you ask me. This could possibly be the best boxing has ever done.

first off, the 2 are not comparable because mma has a significant systematic advantage over boxing. no matter how much an individual boxing ppv does, the profits of that ppv will only go to 1 boxer and that boxer will probably fight only 2-3 times per year. the UFC has 15 ppv's per year, and they keep all the profits of all those ppv's. So even if boxing beats UFC in every single ppv, the UFC still makes more profit than every individual boxer in a year. UFC wins no matter what.

and now speaking on your topic specifically... mma fans know that boxing beat mma in that head-to-head battle with jmm-pbf. Dana didn't even say that mma beat boxing. I think he did exaggerate the numbers, but the mma fans know whats up. Also, dana didn't even try to beat boxing on that night, or even the pac-cotto fight. He put on weak main events and cards as a whole for both those head-to-head ppv's.

Also, if you look at the annual ppv numbers, UFC has been leading for the past 3 years.

might also be because their lightweights weigh 155 lbs, Everyone in MMA is totally out of there structural weight class due to excessive weight lifting (caters to the drunken white male college crowd), it's very rare the chins durability scales, unless natural growth occurs or the person was draining themselves to make a lower weight class.
