Boxing has pimp slapped MMA!

all in all who cares. the fans ain't the fighters. i'm a fan of both, more boxing fan definitely. but the whole arguements are dumb. example: MMA is gay. no, its not. thats a childish arguement. boxing is one trick pony. ya, WE ARE (i box) but we're a lot better at it than MMA fighters.

to be honest the whole bashing whether it be boxing bashing MMA or vice versa sounds childish to me. its cool to stand up for something you believe in but its ****** battle.

The stand up in MMA is pretty much trash. None of those guys are really good boxers. A lot of them have glass jaws, too, getting knocked out by straight right hands early. MMA can still be pretty exciting though. The problem is, a lot of guys, when they're actually facing a mixed martial artist with great standup, such as Anderson Silva, they turn into total ******* and don't do anything. There was one fight where a guy was just doing nothing, so Silva went and slapped him in the face. No response. Also, in the TUF Finale on Saturday, they matched Kimbo Slice up with Houston Alexander. I'm sure most of you guys know Kimbo Slice, but Houston Alexander is pretty much the same way: he just brawls people looking for the KO. So what happens when they fight? Houston just continuously circles him, throwing soft leg kicks every 30 or so seconds. I was flicking between the finale and the PW/Martinez fight and I went over to the boxing match just to make sure I didn't miss some early KO. I was there for less than a second and saw more punches thrown in that second than in the first 4 minutes of what was supposed to be an all-out brawl.

Also though, MMA was an olympic sport, too. It's changed though, just like boxing has. It was called pankration, and it was totally bad ass.

And Lesnar is nuts. He was a great wrestler in college(national champ), and is an incredible athlete for a man his size. He hadn't played football since HS, and then all of a sudden went and made an NFL practice squad in his first try. That's pretty impressive.

Oh and I ****ing hate Dana White too. Dude is a ****.

Right! Because that's all they do, lie! And Dana White used to get his ass knocked out on a daily basis, according to different people, including MMA fans.

Younow not only is MMA a great sport in itself but it has also pushed boxing to force big names to fight bignames and give us the fans great bouts. Any Boxing fan with half a brain cell would be pulling for MMA because it is just gonna force Boxing promoters to put out a competative product.

Do you guys really want the early 90's again where there was only one or two solid fights a year?? If mma falls so do all the great fights in boxing.

Boxing has to much history to go away. Like Baseball, all the controversies in the world wont make it go away. you cant *** with history my dude and MMA aint got none of that and it never will because its too barbaric. there is no sport in it.

Also I'd like to mention that in it's entire history no fighter has ever died in an MMA ring or octagon.
