Collins was not a very good fighter. You're better off making Nigel Benn arguments to be honest. Go that route.

Trinidad (who was always a 154/160lbs anyway boiling down to 147)
Pavlik (Who beat prime!! Taylor, who beat Spinks, Hopkins 2x)
Tarver ( who beat Jones 2x, Griffin, Reggie & Glen Johnson, Woods)
Wink (Who beat Mosley 2x, robbed against Vargas, beat Quartey, Tito.
DLH who was a Light middleweight be the time he fought Hopkins, wins over Vargas, Castillej and what should of been a rematch win over Mosley
John David Jackson
Keith Holmes

J.S: And then after losing to Jones you fought Antonio Tarver in an elimination bout. Was that split decision against you fair?
R.J: I felt Tarver won that fight fairly, yes. I didn't do enough in that fight.I have people today telling me I won that split decision lost to Antonio Tarver and I had him down and out in the 9th round but in my heart I knew I lost that fight and on January 25, 2002 the right man got the decision that night.Last edited by TheGreatA; 12-03-2009, 11:09 AM.

Guthrie was undefeated, trained by Roy Sr, was a tall, lanky southpaw with great pop in both hands and was being hyped by HBO as the man to challenge Jones. Johnson put his lights out with a beautiful, perfect right hook. He still had plenty...plenty left.
Like Jeff Lacy you dont get extra points for misplaced perception of a fighters credentials.
Fact is Reggie Johnson was past his best and fought like it against Jones.
