Collins was a club fighter "calling out" Jones verbally. Who cares. A lot of people call out people verbally . What do they DO to get the fight made? that's what matters.

      Conspiracy ooohh!!

Do you honestly think Collins would of beaten Jones ? Steve Collins lost to Reggie Johnson. Reggie Johnson probably didn't win one round against Roy Jones. Collins first fight with Eubank was very close to.

There is NO fighter that hasn't avoided another--for whatever reason. Jones is no different. He wanted Woods instead of Jirov. Holyfield over Sanders. Turned down an offer to fight Terry Norris (though he was still very green at that point). But, in the end, you judge a fighter by who he did fight and when. And Jones' resume is arguably the best since Pernell Whitaker--with Manny Pacquiao being the only person I'd put over him in that time frame.
Bernard Hopkins has a better resume imo.

I disagree. In fact, I think Hopkins' resume is a bit overstated. He is an ATG nevertheless.

I know collins limits as a fighter but he would lasted longer than eubank or benn you know that too.
