What do you think about Nunn and Liles?
I think both were competent fighters especially Nunn before Toney. Frankly I never saw much of anything in Nunn after Toney KOed him in Iowa. I'm not sure how you argue that Roy ducked him.

Frankie was not a bad fighter but nothing great either. Nothing here tells me that Roy at the time was running scared.

Attendance records? I don't know but off the top of my head I don't think the Welsh National Ice Rink holds that many people.

Just because Roy was KO'd doesn't mean he can't hurt you. There's an old saying: The last thing a fighter loses is his punch. Anyone around 168-175 can get knocked down by even an old Roy Jones.
Wow the Calzaghe is old argument. Well after battle tested Wars against fighters like Lacy, David Starie and Mario Veit I can certainly see his punch resistance coming down.

calzaghe got knocked down twice, in his "prime"

did "prime" calzaghe fight so differrently that a prime roy jones would'nt have been able to stop him with ease after see'ing a COMPLETELY shot roy jones put him on the canvas and continue to land bombs through out the fight just last year?
take note, this shot roy jones has been knocked out by every opponent, with the exception of one

Nunn was very good back in his day, but Toney did beat him and he had some set backs one of them being Liles. Didn't Liles turn down a fight with Roy? Could be wrong, but that's what I remember.

No, I said "getting older", not "Calzaghe was old". He wasn't 27, he was 37, only two years younger than Jones, and had been in boxing for around 25 years. Come on man. Most fighters at the back end of their 30's are gonna start slowing down at least to the point where they're getting caught and dropped by shots occasionally. Jones is QUICK. Hopkins' right hand that dropped Calzaghe was QUICK. Both hit with enough pop to knock guys down.
