How about you explaining why you got caught in a lie about Bert Sugar's views on Dempsey? It's Ok. I understand that you're probably some ****** teenager who just started watching boxing. You don't know what you're talking about and I'll make a fool out of you anytime you want to question what I know.

It was agreed that they would fight at a limit of 145 because Chavez was moving up in weight. Whitaker was the Welterweight champion. Chavez was the super lightweight 140 pound champion. Are you really that ****** to think the catch weight was for Whitaker's benefit?

right when I read the thread title I knew ppl were gonna be outraged at the statement even though its true.

pac has the better resume but sweatpea was great in his own right. some ppl just don't realize what they are witnessing.

I don't have to ask him anything. I already knew he rated Dempsey as number 1 and you said I was lying. If you're not a teenager that makes your attitude even worse. Next time if you don't know what you're talking about you should keep your mouth shut.

Bert Sugar rates Jack Dempsey as the # 1 all time pound for pound heavyweight. Nat Fleischer rated him #4 on his all time heavyweight list. He also considered Dempsey the best infighter and best two handed hitter among all heavyweight champions. Charley Rose rated him # 3. Eric Jorgensen rates him #2. Cox's Corner rates him # 6.

Maybe someone should explain to you the difference between greatest HW and greatest pound for pound HW.

Also Sugar rates Louis and Ali higher in his Boxing's Greatest Fighters book.

well, it is a common knowledge that ali's rated # 2 next to robinson and bert is the keeper of that list ...it changes as time goes by....why worry about my attitude?...lol...

I'm not outraged. I just don't agree. People are entitled to their opinions but when you say Pacquio's resume is WAY better than Whitaker's or "its not even close" then your fighter worshipping. It's debatable on either side. Pernell Whitaker never truly lost in his prime and was untouchable at 135-140 Whitaker cleaned out the lightweightweight division. Most people making thoase statements have probably never even seen Whitaker fight or know very little about him. Going up to 154 and beating a guy once beaten by DQ (Julio Cesar Vasquez) champion was huge but gets overlooked. Vasquez also beat a prime Winky Wright knocking him down 4 times. I think it's a debatable topic but to say it's not close between them is unrealistic. I also do not think Pacquiao's resume is better.
