Manny Pacquiao is greater then Pernell Whitaker - Bert Sugar

Pretty Bold statement considering Sweat Pea is considered one the greats of the modern era.

His interview with Steve Kim can be found here, good listen btw.

Manny is really one of a kind imo, to win a title from Flyweight to Featherweight was something that had never happened before, he still went on and won a title at Lightweight and Welter is just insane. If Manny would have won a title at bantam which wouldn't have been out of the question, it would have been 5 titles of the original 8. That's just amazing.

Whatever happens between him and Mayweather, Manny is still one of the greatest fighters the world has ever known.
