Likely Williams will not even get by Martinez who is a bigger, stonger and more skilled version of Carlos.
And has more balls than Pavlik. Two of them. That guy has lost his nerve ever since Hopkins embarrassed him.

It's amazing that Paul Williams can even get out of bed in the morning with all the people he has dangling from his nutsack.

People should consider three things before trashing Pavlik:

        1) Pavlik has no obligation and never has had an an obligation to fight PWill. PWill is not rated at Middleweight nor is it his preferred weight class. If he was truly afraid of Williams he could have easily done just like Mayweather, Mosley and Cotto have done and pretend that he doesen't even exist.

        2) The fact that the date is so close to the original doesn't necessarily mean that Pavlik believes he will be 100% on that date. He probably still has not hit a bag but is getting much better and knows he can beat this guy in December with a half ass training camp. Meanwhile going after Williams with a half assed trainging regimen would be a disaster.

        3) This may possibly satisfy his WBC Mandatory defense? In which case it would mean it was a fight he was going to have to fight anyway otherwise face being stripped. Espino is ranked #3 by The WBC and the fighters ranked ahead of him are inexperienced, have fights scheduled, and have yet to express a desire to step up to the title.
So his staff infection lingered for months, and as soon as PWill signs to fight someone else Pavlik gets the miracle cure for his hand???

        1) Pavlik did have an obligation to fight PWill. It's this thing called a contract that he signed.
        2) You hit it dead on, he knows he can beat this guy.
        3) you got it again this may satisfy his mandatory so he can keep his belt. Cause Williams would have definitely taken it from him.

I really don't care how big of a Pavlik fan anyone is (hell I didn't have anything against him), but you have to waive the BS flag on this one.

why don't you guys relax and stop calling each other ****s. the fact of the matter is- we will never really know for sure. i'm fairly positive that Team Pavlik just bitched out, but we can't confirm it, so....

anyway, I am watching wrestling for once because Hatton is on it and I was curious. Hatton, like De La Hoya, got to come back for one last "win" by knocking out someone. I know its off topic, but I just caught it a few minutes ago. Cheer up guys.

chicken pavlik can't beat quicker opponents. this is duck job at its best. he would'nt fight paul in oct. or dec. and said he could'nt be ready for paul until late january or febuary but now he's fighting espino in december. this is a flat out duck job in of the story.

Arum is a prick when it comes to giving us good fights. I hear the Pavlik-Never heard of this guy fight is gonna be on a split site double header PPV with Soto fighting Jesus Chavez. LMAO. I'm about to quit being a Soto fan just like I've kicked Pavlik to the curb if Arum don't throw him in a tough fight.

Pavlik's behaviour shows an unprecedented level of cowardice

When I first heard that he withdrew from the fight; i thought he was ducking Paul, but now I know its true!!! I am just shocked that it is really confirmed he was afraid of Paul Williams. Wow.

This is a little bit off topic, but I mentioned Soto just now in this thread because he is gonna be sharing this card with Pavlik fighting Jesus Chavez. Isn't Chavez with Golden Boy? Why not make a Katsidis-Soto fight? This **** sucks big time. Arum is a snake that needs to fuck off.
