Team Paul Williams: "Kelly Pavlik Did The Correct Thing"

When George Peterson surfed the internet on Monday night, he was stunned to learn that WBO/WBC middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik was scheduled to fight in Youngstown on December 19 against Miguel Espino. Pavlik had been scheduled to fight Paul Williams on October 3. Pavlik was plagued by a staph infection in his left hand; forcing him to withdraw from the fight. The event was pushed to December 5. The staph infection continued to affect Pavlik’s ability to train. He was unable to make a fist with the left hand, and withdrew from the fight for a second time. WBC junior middleweight champion Sergio Martinez has stepped in as Pavlik’s replacement for the December date with Williams. [details]

Last week I'd have never believed that Pavlik was actively trying to get out of a fight w/ PWill.. but today - I'm not so sure anymore. If the fight does get made sometime down the road, I'll be rooting for Williams to "spank that butt".

I'm a Williams fan for 2 years now and have mad respect for Mr. Peterson, but this is the 4th article I've read where he is interviewed and uses the term "spank that butt"- and more than once. I know he means kicking ass but, theres just something disturbing about hearing on a continual basis, Paul Williams "spank that butt" in regards to other grown men. There, now I just said it twice in the same paragraph. Ahhhhh!!!!
