Anyways- I think it is real suspect that Pavlik is suddenly rejuvenated enough to schedule a fight with a nobody. Something is up.

Boxing sucks !!!

Up to now, Paul Williams has not show nothing !!! Why this guy dont stay in a division for 18 months and unified the 4 belts and then go up in weight and fight pavlik or whoever is the champ at middle weight. Today the verb UNIFY is the most avoidable things to do. The same with Chaw Dawson, why fight for the WBC belt again, why dont go for the WBO, IBF, and WBA UNIFY !!! I am tired of all this boxers that claims to be the most feared and NEVER UNIFY, this champs of today, are all craps !!!

i read an interview or an article with Paul last year i think- i guess it was The Ring- where he specified he was more interested in fighting for dollars than for belts. not saying he lacks heart and love for the sport, but that could be his motivation rather than stay a long-reigning champ.

as for Pavlik, he loses credibility. i think we've seen with Taylor, he was filled with self doubt for a number of years- his losses to Pavlik have at least a small degree to do with that, not to take anything away from Pavlik. my point is, Kelly has never been proven, and its telling that the over confidence and tangible ****iness he and his team brought to fighting B-Hop- they had a plan A only, not a plan B or C, hence Kelly got beat and humiliated- I think, dare to say it, Pavlik has been overrated.

I'm not saying hes not tough, and lacks skills, but... yeah. This thing with Paul Williams, its ridiculous. Even if someone wasnt a fan of The Punisher, he at least tries to show up and fight.

is 14 days enough for a staph infection to clear up??????

I've treated several patients in the past 3 weeks who have cellulitis. My 1st time being exposed to it and let me be the 1st to say that it is no joke, especially MRSA. But with that being said, a rich guy like pavlik should have been cured within the 1st 2wks of diagnosis unless he was non compliant with his medications. But then he would become septic possibly and be living in the hospital. So I say all that BS to justify me calling team pavlik on their BS.

They have been exposed and dont even care.

I don't think it is suspect. The whole problem with this staph infection and the postponements has simply been that there is no way to predict if and when a staph infection will heal. In some cases they come and go in weeks, in other cases people lose limbs or need skin grafts.

People should consider three things before trashing Pavlik:

1) Pavlik has no obligation and never has had an an obligation to fight PWill. PWill is not rated at Middleweight nor is it his preferred weight class. If he was truly afraid of Williams he could have easily done just like Mayweather, Mosley and Cotto have done and pretend that he doesen't even exist.

2) The fact that the date is so close to the original doesn't necessarily mean that Pavlik believes he will be 100% on that date. He probably still has not hit a bag but is getting much better and knows he can beat this guy in December with a half ass training camp. Meanwhile going after Williams with a half assed trainging regimen would be a disaster.

3) This may possibly satisfy his WBC Mandatory defense? In which case it would mean it was a fight he was going to have to fight anyway otherwise face being stripped. Espino is ranked #3 by The WBC and the fighters ranked ahead of him are inexperienced, have fights scheduled, and have yet to express a desire to step up to the title.

Why would anyone want to unify? In this day and age the only thing fighters should do is fight the best competition out there and leave these crooked alphabet groups out of it. Sadly Pavlik refuses to fight the best.
