Rolly looked really solid at Welter weight, can he go places?

Rolly/Giyasov is not a "big fight" though. Rolly won't want to face him because he's high-risk/low-reward. Rolly is still a PBC affiliate, so it's best to have low expectations.

I don't know how you can say that a guy looked impressive when he's fighting an opponent who isn't throwing punches.

Teo vs Rolly would be fun too

Do you think Rolly would move back down, or Teo would be moving up? I would prefer if Teo moved up, beat Rolly and then fight Norman.

VERY impressive win for Rolly...he was made to look stup1d against Pitbull after getting KO'd by Tank a couple of fights earlier. However, he dominated Garcia and looked dangerous throughout the fight so hopefully he can build on this going forward. Ryan can also draw inspiration from Rolly, Haney & Teo who've all bounced back from unexpected defeats with impressive victories.

Absolutely not. Rolly looked limited against a limited Garcia. He just looked better.

The Rolly that beat Garcia last night was disciplined against an undisciplined fighter and both just so happen to have big names. I don't think it was anything more than that but I commend Romero for sticking to a game plan. Good win for him.

Rolly boxed better and with more patience than I had ever seen him do in the past, his power was certainly there at 147 as well. He was was in there with Ryan who did not much of anything but posture and be a left hook threat in there so I'd like to see him in against someone more active and we will since there will be options for him.

Right opportunity at the right time for Rolly. Comparable to Kambosis' win over Teo.

He will never accomplish anything else, but this will get him a few more paydays. Good on him.

Because many times when an opponent is not throwing punches it is because he is being prevented from doing so.

True story: I was a green belt, my friend and I were sent to a tournament alone... It was part of how our club rolled. We were so wet behind the ears lol... We came up in a fighting club and had no exposure to popular tournaments at the time (it turns out our fighting was much more intense, we didn't know yet). So my friend and I watch this other green belt warming up. Our stomachs sunk so low you could hear them drop... This dude! he was doing butterfly kicks, double spinning this and that! we kind of looked at each other, my friend and I like: "were gonna get plastered here." So the tourney starts here comes the star we had watched as soon as the ref starts the fight Bounce bounce, sloppy kick, bounce bounce, bounce, tap on the arm... NOthing like the warm up! That day we realized why Sensei had sent us in hostile territory alone. Turns out we were the wolves! We cleaned up that day and were told we had to fight in the next division. hard to throw long elaborate kicks when someone is coming in hard on you.

My point is: preventing someone from doing what they do is a major part of fighting. Now with that said? I also wonder why Ryan literally never threw his hook. I literally did not see one thrown. He may have injured his arm or something, possible. But Rolly looked good defensively (aside from a few body blows that had me cringing as his big head was left low and unprotected... I think Rolly made Ryan unable at least to a degree.
