I gave Colbert four rounds. Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe five, but that's being generous.
Val did have fits and spurts, but when his power was on point, Colbert looked absolutely lost. Couple that with the first round knockdown, and yeah, sketchy decision.

Breadman is a boxing history savant but I think he’s all wrong as a trainer. I think we’ll see a completely new corner when/if Plant returns.rambo68 likes this.

I like Plant as a boxer. The rivalries / **** talking does very little for me. I just want to see two good, evenly-matched fighters playing fist chess. We got that (mostly) last night as Plant dominated the first half and Benavidez reeeaally dominated the second. Saying all that, I think Plant should...TheIronMike likes this.

I got way too high and was way too sleepy by the time the fight concluded to offer any real commentary, but I will say now that I really admire David’s consistency with pressure; he’s second to none in that respect, but ultimately I still think he’s a mediocre boxer and Plant exposed...

Stupid high so maybe my judgment is skewed, but Colbert looks absolutely lost in there.

I wish both fighters luck, but I am ultimately rooting for Caleb just because Jose Sr needs an abject lesson in humility. He is going to hurt his son’s career eventually.

Best of luck to him. I lost a best friend to suicide in 2021 and it ****s you up; cripples you. For some people, permanently. I hope he's able to overcome that kind of grief.
