Rolly looked really solid at Welter weight, can he go places?

I know I know Garcia did not even throw a left hook the entire fight, unless I missed it... Garcia certainly looked tentative as but his jab was on point and Rolly handled it. Rolly looks great at the weight, moved well and his power seems to carry up. Could peanut butter have found chocolate here? I mean Rolly was defensively responsible, if not a bit too tentative, and frankly I was impressed.

Not quite ready to crown him the next young super star, but the way I figure, while these other guys have been bickering on social media, avoiding each other, Rolly has been sparring hard in the gym, taken fights, and getting better. He reminds me of Chisora... Always ready to scrap and I would like to see him do well. I also like Garcia and hope he gets things straight as well.

Thoughts? Come on.... I know a few of you at least will tell me I am just looking at this fight and Ryan was weak... Anyone feel like I do? I mean Rolly was stacked for the weight. And he seems able to move with that muscle...

Unlikely against real competition, Garcia resume has always been a coverup hype job.

147 is not a war zone, everybody has a chance. Even Barrios is a champ there..

Its a good start for him. Welter should not be a weak division!

Rolly"s ability to talk himself into a fight is far superior to his actual boxing /fighting abilities.

He's to be admired for that if nothing else.

I'd take Barrios to beat Rolly 12 rounds to 0.

And I don't rate Barrios highly at all.

Rolly is now in line to face Ennis . I bet Hearn will try to make that fight at the Barclays Center, assuming Ennis stays at 147 and beats Giyasov.

none the less Rolly deserves another big fight after yesterday’s victory

Yeah but I think he has used that ability and put it together. He looked really strong at the weight and like he had improved. I think Ryan's jab was better than the judges saw, and most people acknowledge. Of course one wonders why Ryan did not throw the hook, did he hurt his hand? But Rolly looked very put together, he impressed me. A lot more defensively responsible.

Rolly/Giyasov is not a "big fight" though. Rolly won't want to face him because he's high-risk/low-reward. Rolly is still a PBC affiliate, so it's best to have low expectations.
