  • Based on the way Turki is talking i.e. biggest fight in the history of boxing in September, it sounds to me like Canelo will be given an EASY fight in May (possibly a mandatory defence against Scull) followed by the Crawford fight in September.

However, I think the last 2 fights are still...

  • Disagree re amateurs...he won a World Amateur Bronze after losing a SD to the eventual Gold medallist from Kazakhstan and lost a MD to Verde in the Olympic Bronze medal match. Verde went on to win Silver but Dev has beaten him before. My point being is that Dev tends to go FAR in competitions and only...

  • Well said...he passes the eye test and has the amateur credentials but we won't know for certain until he steps up in competition. I just hope that Hearn DOESN'T move him too quickly and allows him time to develop....

  • Haha glad to see you've finally changed your tune Z! As for his 7 losses, 6 of them were against non-Indian opponents but 5 were either SD/MD losses which means they were extremely CLOSE fights in important competitions like the Olympics, Olympic qualifiers, World Amateur Championships etc....

Well said...people try to limit this discussion to the fastest great fighter's whilst overlooking the fact that there's plenty of other fighter's like Khan (who were good but NOT great) yet had quicker hands. I also believe that's one of the reason's why Mayweather was reluctant to fight him (although...

Agreed but like I said from the beginning, Benavidez's constant forward pressure and work rate is second to NONE and almost impossible to match so I really don't think there's much more Morrell could've done. Especially since Benavidez was able to handle his power (bar the flash knockdown). Still, he...

I predicted a CLOSE points victory for Benavidez and if Morrell hadn’t screwed himself after the knockdown (although I think the point deduction was overly harsh) that’s exactly what would’ve happened. 118-108 was a joke.

Therefore, Morrell performed as expected but lost...
