Okay gentlemen, normally we'd scrap a fight that was changed at this late a date but I reckon Bakole's easily a good enough replacement to be worthy of putting in and I think we got just about enough time to squeeze it in. Parker -215, Bakole +165. Multipliers playable only on Bakole.

Folks who already made their picks will want to go and adjust em accordingly KING S.O.G BigBobArum Rockybigblower ShoulderRoll SceneBoxer crimsonfalcon07 Tatabanya joe strong mlac

I may have missed a few and may have double-tagged, but with DDD out of the Parker fight, we have changed it to Paker vs Bakole and have adjusted the odds on the front page. Please adjust your picks accordingly before Saturday.

Yeah we got an imperfect sytem of course - boxings just too chaotic to run the game using hard and fast fight selection rules - but I can explain the reasoning. Mainly in this case it was that we already had more than enough fights to fill the PICK EM this week, whereas we had a shortage of fights towards the end of last year to bring the season to a conclusion when we included the Inoue fight..

In general we try to include at least one or two fights every week unless there really is nothing meaningful, but prefer not to just shoehorn more fights just for the sake of making up the numbers (cos where do you stop?). Happy medium is usually about 2-3 fights each week where possible. On exceptional weeks such as this one we'll include more and sometimes slacken the rules a bit - if you're going all in you might as well go all in - but also we typically don't include fights with late replacements, particularly if they are of lower quality and the odds are very wide. We made a rare exception in the case of Bakole - Parker because both are top 10 and the odds were still pretty close, but Shakur vs Padley just didn't tick enough boxes.

In any event we generally try to include almost any fights involving top P4Pers (by our primary reference guides, TBRB and Ring) even recognising that the odds in such fights are often prohibitive. Similarly we will also try to include all fights between two top 10 fighters in any division according to the same ranking orgs. Shakur isn't top 10 P4P and Padley isn't even top 10 in his own division.

LIke I say we necessarily got an imperfect system, but we aim for some kind of cosistency even if we don't always achieve it. Hope that helps clarify our selction process though, for you and anyone else who might have an interest. If enough players do want things done differently however we've always been open to suggestion and feedback, made a point of it in fact, so feel free to offer your thoughts.

OK thanks for the detailed explanation. Initially, I was a bit confused as to why Inoue's fight against an average fighter was included as opposed to Shakur's but now that you've pointed out it was a light week back then compared to a busy fight week this week it makes perfect sense. Also, the odds are incredibly wide in Shakur's favour as you already mentioned. I guess I was just after some easy points haha!

Keep up the great work with Pick 'Em although personally I would DITCH the multiplier as it skews results and doesn't allow you to see who truly made the correct number of picks over a season. However, Tata explained the logic for it's inclusion yesterday which makes sense although I still feel that Pick 'Em would be better off without it.

Am I seeing you back at the top of the leaderboard man? Kudos... a welcome return to form. Funny I really am beginning to believe in the CREW curse! Top players suddenly lose form when they join the CREW and now we got you returning to the top flight after you leave... dammit.

                      Well done brother!
