I got an in-shape and active fighting De La Hoya beating Canelo. The Oscar that utilized movement, worked the jab and threw rapid fire combinations would've beaten Canelo. Size wouldn't matter as much because Oscar was a mover and would stay off of the ropes and not let Canelo utilize his size to trap him. Oscar knows the type style he would need to beat Canelo. I am not even sure Canelo would've taken that fight because he was the one who said that he wouldn't fight another Mexican fighter. lol

Which version of Oscar and which version of Canelo? Canelo before the help of drugs was average af, Oscar on the coke as a fighter was not at his best. Hell tbh I’ll take a coked out Oscar over any 160 version of Canelo.Comment

You’re one of the few fans I’ve heard argue that Canelo’s loss to Floyd ruined his career and legacy. Most knowledgeable fans watched Canelo become vastly improved by that experience.
Prime and P4P, you'd have to go with Oscar because Canelo's loss to Mayweather ruined him in the grand scheme of things even tho it was at a catchweight (thanks to Canelo's dumb managers and team).
Oscar's controversial loss to Trinidad is the one that hurt him the most in the overall ATG rankings despite many people saying that Oscar should of got the nod in that one and him doing a better job against Tito than Canelo did against Floyd.Comment

lol k he not a bum but you get what I’m saying right? GGG career fell quite short of what it should’ve been. Wasted his whole career chasing canelo and like it or not didn’t even get a win out of it. Kell Brook is his only elite win and Brook was a WW.

People seem to forget Canelo is naturally bigger guy. Prime Oscar is under 154. Oscar looked past prime and sluggish at 154.
This is a pointless fantasy matchup.Last edited by JakeTheBoxer; 02-24-2024, 03:47 AM.Comment
