If a fighter REFUSES to fight someone that called him out unless "the money's right" - is that a DUCK? Yes/No?

Both Bud and Boots are free agents and they fight on PBC cards. Which platform would you expect to make the arrangement? But then this is probably the last thing PBC has in their minds to get busy with. So again BLK is the answer while waiting for PBC. They successfully made the Avanesyan/Crawford didn't they? So why not take advantage of this time and availability of both fighters? Crawford is bored, so he might be enticed to take the fight and get it over with.

Bud owes uncle Al a fight
He wasn’t going to let Bud fight for free

        It's a duck.

We have sanctioning bodies for a reason. Boxing used to be just a business, those champions ****** so bad the sanctioning body was invented specifically for forcing poor business fights to happen.

          Let's explore that.

SO what you're saying (by this definition) is
          • Loma DUCKED Devin Haney back when Haney had the regular title and Loma took the Franchise title instead of unifying with Haney
          • Teo DUCKED Devin Haney when Teo beat Loma and Haney (regular champion) was calling him out to unify
          • Crawford DUCKED Keef when Keef was still WBA champion and called him out
          • Golovkin DUCKED Andrade in 2019 when Andrade was 160 champion and called him out
Do I have that about right? Going just by your bold, mind you

So when Joshua did that interview over $50 million to fight Wilder and then declined it, that was a duck?

This is why your oversimplifying things is so asinine.

Going by the bold, Loma was fighting another world champion, even though he was being called out by a mandatory. So clearly not a duck by the bold, but you're trying to force a narrative by excluding relevant information, again, going strictly by the bold.

Similarly, Teo was fighting an ordered mandatory, and he already had the higher version of Haney's title, and Haney hadn't been ordered as a mandatory for him. Haney was effectively a secondary champ, like most of Gervonta Davis' titles. Notice how those guys never get unification fights? That's because they're secondary titlists, and the other sanctioning organizations don't recognize them and therefore won't sanction a unification.

Etc. And that's just going by the aforementioned bold, mind you.

Pricing yourself out is a duck. Getting a monetary with a lot of strings attached to it needs to be explored more.

Fighters when they really want to fight someone it happens.

well shakur called haney out, haney responded with a 25% split, shakur said get lost im worth more

u might say ok, maybe u are worth a bit more but then add in undisputed titles for the winner plus haney i think in on a lot of p4p lists so if u beat him, he slides down or even off in some cases & u get on the list, win win win

now shakur in a huff and retired lol

so did yappy dog shakur try to yap his way into the fight, got called out, he ducked even tho he was the caller out & he ducked his way into a phoney retirement cos hes mad at boxing and everyone

Let's keep it real. With the fans, it all depends on who the fighter is.

When Canelo-Crawford falls apart due to Bud's demands, watch em accuse Saul of ducking a welterweight.
