If a fighter REFUSES to fight someone that called him out unless "the money's right" - is that a DUCK? Yes/No?

NSB (and others) claim that Chino got robbed (he didn't), so he ran it back in September and won clearly with a ref that actually enforced the rules. SO 2014 Mayweather was NOT available because people were hoping that Chino could pull it out. Nobody was asking for a Thurman fight. 2015, Mayweather schools future Hall of Famer Manny Pacquiao. You can discredit him for what happened to him but that was his fault for refusing random blood and urine testing back in 2009 (Roach is on record that's what happened and why the fight didn't happen). To this day, no fighter has surpassed the gates for this fight, because it's what the people wanted after marinating for so long. Nobody was asking for a Thurman fight. September 2015, Floyd books a fight with Berto. What nobody paid attention to is that Berto was a mandatory. He held the WBA interim title (aka "if the champ doesn't fight you, we're making you the champ" - which Crawford had to learn the hard way recently). zz0.nqq696suyvzz

April 2014, stops Julio Diaz, a lightweight.

December 2014, is taken the distance by 40-year old Bundu after basically running away from him. At the weigh-in, he calls out Floyd But after the fight, he called out Chino.

September 2015, Floyd books a fight with Berto. What nobody paid attention to is that Berto was basically a mandatory. He held the WBA interim title (aka "if the champ doesn't fight you, we're making you the champ" - which Crawford had to learn the hard way recently) that he won from Josesito - the same Josesito that would later damn near stop Keef off a body shot and a flurry flush shots.

Floyd retires. The WBA Super is vacated.
Before defending against Guerrero in March, Keef gets an email. It's the WBA, elevating him to Regular champion (with Floyd as Super champion).

May 2015 Thurman gets damn near stopped off a body shot by Collazo and lucks out that Collazo gets an eye injury. Calls out Mayweather. Avanesyan gets elevated to interim after beating Mosley.
That's the timeline. So I'll ask again.

Of the fighters listed, which two entitled Keef to a shot against the top guy?
just say floyd ducked thurman. you aint gotta do all this.

Let me make this simple. Because your argument is "Keef was popular and undefeated!" ok.

If Floyd DUCKED Keef...then Crawford DUCKED Boots, by that same logic.

      What say you?

So your unaware of Leicesterage’s work
He’s full of chit is what he is
If it don’t fit his agenda or narrative , then YoU must be wrong
He accuses boxers of ducking ( Bud ) but won’t make light of the facts I have clearly stated to him
Boots had every chance to fight him but refused and actually changed his route on way to being his mando
Is that a duck to you ?
He certainly seems to think so , the same way he doesn’t believe that Floyd avoided Keef
First I thought he had a man crush on Spence , now I’m thinking it goes deeper than that
Maybe it’s uncle Al that floats his boat lmao

No because he counter offered it ,never rejected it bc it was being funded by BT sports which is a breach of Joshua’s contract rights and before that he offered Wilder 12.5 million which was around 7 times his highest pay which was the initial offer Wilder declined .

            Make it make sense .

              Floyd talked about it.

Good/bad, it is what it is. I speak only the data. And it speaks to how corrupt Top Rank/WBO are and were.

Manny's fight against Rios in 2013 (the "punching bag" fight) was basically a golden ticket to a Bradley rematch to get back the WBO title he lost. The shady part is that after winning that fight (and winning the WBO International), the WBC declared Manny the mandatory for Floyd's WBC. As we know, it's highly unusual for an org to call another org's champion the mandatory and especially after the events that Manny went through.

He then barely beats Bradley, wins the main WBO title. But was still considered mandatory for WBC for whatever reason. Then the fight became a unification with Floyd.

So...to answer your question, Manny's shot came due to pressure from the orgs to make that fight, which people speculated that Arum had something to do with it, because remember: Floyd did that interview where he said he would NEVER do business with Bob Arum:

But also remember, when the kickoff pressers happened, the first thing Arum did when he got up to the podium was wave at Floyd and say "hiya Floyd!" - that's when you knew something was up.

                Let's focus on the bold.

SO what you're saying is, when Bozy Ennis rejected the BLK Prime offer for his son to fight Crawford because it was being funded by BLK Prime which would have been a breach of Boots' contract rights to Showtime, that was NOT a duck...right?

lots of fights only get made once the money is right, a lot of guys are content to coast along if they are of a certain level getting a decent fight night pay & will only look at harder fights if there is a nice bump in that pay for it, thinking about it, i might be one of them as well, i would be slagging myself off for it too

But there is no yes/no answer. Every situation is different. Sometimes, the fighter uses money as an excuse to not take the fight. Other times, the money is so low that the guy would be a complete fool to take it, or there are other unacceptable terms attached, such as weight, options, rematch, etc.

So it just depends on the individual situation. One size does NOT fit all.............
Thread should have ended here. It just flew over this TS's brain-dead head. He just filters out everything that don't fit in his cherry-picked narratives. He's like a child that only picks cheap but favorite toys leaving out the more expensive ones his dad meticulously picked for him.
