It is exactly that - Francis is new to competing in boxing, but is not new in boxing, definitely not an inexperienced fighter. So he knows very well what to do in a ring, how to take and deliver a punch.

I get every dislike (or like when it comes to some fighters, such as Usyk), but in some cases, fans go beyond reasonable and in the end, it's more of a trolling, because we get the same discussions over and over for months.

What will define Fury's performance further is what Francis will do in boxing.

Remember when a fat, forty something, semi retired boxer KO'd a guy who was UFC HW champ a mere 12 months earlier? In MMA.

And it took him 13 seconds. Lolz

                  You've got it backwards!

Francis Ngannou trained boxing in this youth, went to France to continue his boxing training, and decided to take his Boxing into MMGai, where he wiped the floor with the best grapplers and kickers the heavyweight division there ever saw!!!

Swallowing MMGai Whole WAS his amateur career.
Now he's doing Big boy boxing and making big boy money, like all amateurs aspire to do.

                  And he's great!!

....unless there's some Muay Thai, Karate, Jujitsu, Judo or Freestyle background that never made it into his Bio.

That's what I was trying to explain to some of the dum dums in this thread. It was his first professional boxing bout, but far from the first time he ever put on a pair of boxing gloves. What makes it more is that it's heavyweight. You can have power that can make up for your lack of skill and make the guy with more skill a tad hesitant. If Ngannou had no power, no way in hell he would have kept up with Fury, even a Fury not at 100%. Fury was hesitant cause Ngannou's power paired with good enough boxing skills helped him compete with a less than 100% Fury. Hopefully I didn't lose the dum dums with what I just said, that was a lot more than their brains can compute.

That fight was also really special rules, not actually MMA. They had agreed to keep it standing. Remove takedowns from the equation and it's a very different game. But certain people fail to mention this detail because it doesn't do their narrative any favors.
