Bud Crawford lost money for his last promoter for years. How about we not listen to him about the future of the boxing business.

I think multiple belts will still be able to work IF they have some rule or regulation of some sort to guarantee an unification fight every so often. Other successful sports have multiple leagues, but at the end of the season they fight the winner of each league,
The big one is the 1 promotion portion, where the "this guy is only fighting with my guys" ******ity won't occur.Comment

Arum lost tons of money on Crawford. He was the first TR fighter who got paid $1-2 mil for fighting cab drivers long before Loma got his. Even long before PBC guys like Thurman, Porter, Broner, etc. got their first $1 mil.Comment

Arum thought he was investing on TC thinking it will lay golden eggs eventually. Turned out Bud is a dud in the box office. He never made a return on his investment.Comment

Crawford has acknowledged publicly that he should have bet on himself more and not resigned with TR during the lead up to the Spence fight. That's literally what got all of this in motion.
Working class people always look at other working class folks to take a paycut and not the ones with infinitely more capital that cuts the checks. Capitalism is wild.Comment

There is nothing to reimagine. Too many greedy promoters who won't allow big fights to happen, corrupt sanctioning bodies that allow some fighters who hold titles hostage while pressuring others to defend them against mandatories, and fighters who want to preserve their zero in the loss column rather than fight the best.Comment
