Remember when PBC had deals with CBS, Showtime, NBC, NBC Sports, ESPN, FOX, Fox Sports 1, Spike TV, Bounce TV, and ITV? What happened to those? They literally went 0-for-10.

WOW, this is going to be difficult.... The PBC is without a platform and their entire stable is bound to long term contracts with a manager that made every attempt to destroy the only two networks still standing. Sure Oscar and Arum are phenomenal promoters but a lot of the PBC fighters are self promoted and will resist signing with another promotional group and even if they were willing, they still need to pay a large percentage to Al Haymon. ESPN and DAZN aren't going to allow self promoted fighters to simply walk in and out without some type of longer term agreement. Sure Crawford, Teo and Garcia can speak but they're free agents. Where is Canelo in all of this, isn't he the face of boxing?

This is going to take a game changing idea and enough money to form the Tesla of boxing.

IMO, it's either pray that Al Haymon can find another outlet or seek advice from someone like Lou dibella. Lou is no BS, he was a promoter, match maker, and network exec, and he can be trusted. Have him present a package to DAZN or another network with the infrastructure and deep enough pockets. In the end, no mater which way things go, the multi million dollar shyt fights with a guaranteed purses are over.

I know for sure now, I'll be bringing in the New Year without ShowTime & HBO, I'm cancelling both subscriptions!

If the bar we set is a promoter is only successful if he stays with only one network forever then you're going to be disappointed. How many networks have GBP been with over the 20 years? How many networks has TR been with over the last 60 years? The same CBS, Showtime, NBC............networks you named are the same ones TR and GB were with. So dumb!!!

The writting is on the wall fir boxing. Its slowly going extinct. The two power houses and house hold names, HBO & Showtime is just the start. They actually had money. Think whats going to happen with the rest of them who DONT.

Id also like to add that the networks failed because they COULDNT keep the old, successful boxing model going due to the DIVA boxers and DIVA promotors, which are STILL far to dominant in this dying sport. Kiss it all goodbye cause nobody is going to change or take a price cut.

They have a track record with this but people are dying on their shield for promotional outfits. It's weird.
You guys just don't get it...this isn't a black vs white thing it's a green thing, it's a money thing. Wake up, where is Shakur going to go? Leave? Leave where?

TR and Bob Arum are now the single largest global boxing network on the planet. ESPN is without equal. All Bob's going to do is wait for fighters to come to him because they have nowhere else to go.

Even if that special man that "knows how to promote certain fighters and to certain demographics" (absolute BS dog whistle, Hayman hasn't promoted anyone in his life, he's a manager) finds a network it's never going to have the same history or clout as Showtime. I realize you were all hopeful that Showtime was going to bury DAZN...everyone saw your posts. It didn't happen, showtime canned boxing just as Arum predicted. Black vs white keeps the weak at one another while the puppeteer picks your pocket and that works both ways. Snap the F%&* out of it, it's 2023 and EVERYTHING is about money.

No, that's not true. Boxing Diva's go to PPV where there is much less risk for the network. Boxing as a product was used to round out what HBO and showtime had to offer and yes, boxing paid for itself.

The problem in America is that every time there is a merger the parent company borrows everything against the company they purchase and then sells off, closes or spins off anything that doesn't directly produce super HIGH profit. Frankly, there is a much, much, much bigger more diabolical game afoot and it's not just happening in boxing
