Yet, the whole reason that they turned down the Fury fight this year was because "Wilder is a done deal for December"

its never happening, joshua is damaged goods, all confidence is gone and he would be a rabbit in the headlights against wilder, he wouldnt win but joshua would do better against fury than he would wilder at this stage

Right on Hearn you twatwaffle. What happened to it will be signed in a few days? Well if the Kabayel fight happens at least Joshua was active in 2023 with 3 fights like he wanted. He will have had a nice rebuilding year where he got several fights & training camps in with his current trainer. Wilder is likely sitting out the year.
Kabayel is a good stay busy fight for Joshua. Than he should fight Wallin -Hrgovic winner, that fight will probably happen for vacant IBF belt.

Seems no one in the media is interested in asking him why the fight can only happen in Saudi Arabia.

It looks like Deontay Wilder and his fans has been duped again by Eddie Hearn. I can't say I really blame him based off AJ's past two performances.

He is not ready for Deontay Wilder at this point because it's too risky of a fight. The cash out fight that Matchroom is angling for is the winner of Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk. Which would probably be most likely Tyson Fury.

And let's don't think that Eddie Hearn is unaware.

Frankly, though I DO respect his abilities, there has never been a version of Anthony Joshua who could survive the awkward, superfast one punch KO power of Wilder. You can discuss parts of Joshua's skill set that are superior all day, and be spot on about it. But those would NEVER stop the KO. Terrible style match up for a man felled by a semi-retired Klitschko who couldn't hurt anyone in years and Ruiz. Easy fight for Wilder any year since 2015.

              Make the fight.

Smh. I have no faith of this fight happening. And they killing the hype ( whatever that was) Wilder been MIA for awhile and Joshua is almost an afterthought at this stage of his career.

That's the smart play. Wallin can box but lacks firepower, AJs worst enemy, and he could outbox and out hustle Hrgovic, potentially. This would lead to another "re unification" against Fury for a fat retirement fund.

This would be preferable to Suicide against Wilder.

I dunno. I can't think of a fight in boxing I'd rather see.

But he's really rested now and is best served by staying busy.
I think the Winner of Simon Kean vs. Joseph Parker would be a perfect level fight, if Ruiz is committed to overpricing his services. But the Rumor today is that Wilder is considering Makhmudov, which is a nice, bold move.
If Wilder fights Goliath with Tourette Syndrome that would be a huge risk on his part. Literally nobody with options has tried to fight him as his power is frightening but I have no clue if he has any defense to roll with a Wilder bomb because if he can't roll with a Wilder bomb he will crash and burn like the Hindenburg.
