I understand Joshua wanting the statement win, but it's career or money at this point. He doesn't really need either, but needs to make a choice... One, the other, or neither.
joshua should forget wilder's delusional ass. besides the saudis don't care at all for wilder. joshua should go after fury that's a much bigger fight than bum squad wilder especially in the UK.

Translation, everybody's cottoned on & nobody's dumb enough to pay what the entitled to Eddie demands.
Eddie say's it best himself "every fight has a monetary value" the value in Wilder Aj vanished along with they're L's, they're belts & they're reputation's.

He turned Fury down already sending back the contract demanding commercial control & A-side status.
Now he has to get in line, he should be challenging Wallin for that number 2 ibf spot.

Agreed. They have to be called out on the weak opponents that were acceptable only in the context of fighting Wilder by the end of the year. Without Wilder, there has to be criticism of fighting weak/stay busy opponents.

They have to line up the best available opponent for December to retain credibility.

Don't mislead yourself, Joshua doesn't want a fight with Wilder because he knows he'll be KOed.

The ultimate goal of Joshua is to fight for a World title again 'Those are Joshua's intentions'.

Nobody know's Wilder's overall intentions. For me it does look like Wilder is behaving in a similar fashion to Derek Chisora.

If Joshua is to fight for a world title again, he will have to at some point sign to fight in a big fight 'And win that fight'.

Who that fight will be against?.Could be any of the other top Heavyweights.

Note: Everyone in the boxing World knows Joshua's intentions, how he gets there? Well that is up to his team. Joshua cannot force a fight vs a fighter in Wilder who from what I can see is not really being clear or 100% proactive when faced with the opportunity of making any big fight 'Wilder vs Ruiz Junior, and Wilder vs Joshua'.

I rate Deontay Wilder extremely highly as a fighter within this heavyweight era, but I believe both Wilder & Fury have been too high off their trilogy since it happened 'Fury has been basking in the glory of beating Wilder, and Wilder has been basking in the glory of pushing Fury to the brink'.

And a narrative has been created from this, that no other fighters can really challenge them 'But what other fighters is Wilder genuinely gaming to fight? I have theorized that both Fury and Wilder could of potentially acted like a smoke screen for each other, nobody really knows their obsolete true form against other top Heavyweights since their passionate trilogy' etc.
I believe Wilder has been led down the path of believing Joshua actually wanted them to fight, too many times to trust the Joshua camp. Wilder should go ahead and fight Ruiz and then negotiate a fight with Joshua for the Spring. He should definitely not stay inactive. A novel approach to a Joshua fight would be for Wilder to take a cue from real estate transactions and demand some serious upfront "earnest money."

But he's really rested now and is best served by staying busy.
I think the Winner of Simon Kean vs. Joseph Parker would be a perfect level fight, if Ruiz is committed to overpricing his services. But the Rumor today is that Wilder is considering Makhmudov, which is a nice, bold move.
I hope the rumor is true, it would be nice to see Wilder keeping himself in the public eye as an active fighter.

Just make the fight. This fight loses public interest every day. They need to get the fight done ASAP.

I thought Wilder was doing a reality show. If he is, how is he gonna train while he's filming? I think both sides are pretending to want the fight while really looking for the easiest payday possible. All anyone seems to care about now a days is the lowest risk with the most reward.
