I agree. Usyk went into that fight... Someone said to him "these are heavyweights! fight long off the line, be careful!" as the fight wore on Usyk realized he was fcked and that the advice, well intentioned perhaps, was dead wrong. I am of course taking some poetic license here lol. If you watch that fight, Usyk tried to fight off his back foot, moved in a straight line, and lost all his attributes. He then went back to his usual skill sets and had no problems. -
What utter drivel.
- - Wlad fought and beat more southpaws in heavyweight title fight history and noone is close enough to be in 5th place much less 2nd.
Sanders was a far more dangerous opponent for the Ks than Usyk. Vit was better prepared than Wlad who was still suffering from poor ama training and promotional expertise.
The Ks were literally learning pro boxing from their debut. No history of pro boxing in Eastern Europe.
Time to study up or continue to drool...
Sanders was far more dangerous than Usyk lol. Get a grip! He was more into golf than boxing when he smoked Wladimir. He wasn't even committed to the sport.
What a ridiculous post.Comment

We can only assume how he would've one in another era, but he for sure would've lost some fights or would've been disqualified for faking the low blows. At least he is exposed in this current one, losing to Dubois - a fighter many claim a s bum even (I won't say he is, but he has some big flaws).Comment

Don`t get me wrong, he is a good fighter.
But he must be thankful to the fact that there are no really good heavyweights around.
There is only Fury and if he beats Fury, he is the man.
I doubt it would be that easy in any other era.Comment

Guess you don’t remember Evander Holyfield, Chris Byrd and yes, even Mike Tyson. All very small and short.Comment

Who did Vitali beat? Uhh...Corrie Sanders? Chisora? We know he quit against LHW Byrd, who he never hurt over 9 rounds and never sought a rematch. Overrated.
Wlad got schooled by Usyk in sparring, lost to three ham and eggers and even blew it against Joshua. His best win may well have been David Haye and he was taken to school in his backyard by Fury, who had no incentive to rematch the slimeball.
Wlad would be a much tougher fight for Usyk than the oafish Vitali but even Wlad would be the underdog against Usyk without Pabon as the referee. Wlad never beat anyone close to as good as Usyk, whereas Usyk schooled one of his conquerors Joshua.
You know someone is a weak heavyweight champ when you have to start including their "sparring wins"Comment

Usyk is the greatest cruiserweight of all time so how can you compare past cruiserweights to him when he is better than all of themComment

By no standard is Usyk a "weak heavyweight champ" and even suggesting that makes you a clown. Usyk schooled Joshua twice, who himself has one of the best records among HW titlists in the last 20 years. His win over Chisora is also on par with the best wins of fighters like Vitali and Haye.
Usyk outboxing Wlad in sparring says a lot because I've never heard of anyone else outboxing Wlad in sparring. Joshua and Wilder were handled by Wlad in sparring by all accounts.Comment

Boxrec and Eyeonthering consensus is that Byrd won 3 rounds so you're wrong again.
Byrd slipped many of Vitali's relatively slow and sloppy punches, which caused Vitali to injure himself. Vitali couldn't hurt the blown-up light heavyweight southpaw at any point over 9 full rounds, then he quit. And Vitali never pursued a rematch, getting the more athletic, offensively skilled and less injury prone Wlad to take care of it instead. That's all there is to it.Comment
