Well, resume is one thing, politics is another. We can only go with what happened, not who was playing games/politics. In years to come the records will show that canelo beat Golovkin twice and got a draw. Only the knowledgeable fans will point out that a lot of waiting was going on. That's why, as far as I can make out, fighters like SRR composed better resumes - they were more active and there was less politics involved and a loss wasn't the be all and end all.

Just a bunch of morons who think it was easy because he made it look easy. This isn't the 1st time Shane spoke on Floyd's power. You watched it right before your eyes. It looked like he never even landed those big right hands the rounds after. He was completely shell shocked and timid because Mayweather dominated the rest of the fight. And you can tell mosley didn't want to get hit.

If Mayweathers hands weren't so fragile and a little more killer instinct, he would've finished a lot of fighters later in his career.

Mayweather vs Crawford in their prime? I would pick May by close decision but you never know.

Like Roger Mayweather said. Floyd puts his opponent in a thinking man's fight. Crawford loses just like any fighter else

A number of opponents noted this, that Floyd had really good punching power. That's why no opponent could even just walk through him.

He bust up quite a few guys systematically. As I recall, he beat up Cotto a fair bit at the end there.

Mayweather retired often to cycle those steroids out of his system.

Floyd had decent power. Enough to make fighters not want to walk through it.

It was more sharp, fast and timed. But he was knocking guys heads back.

Canelo loads up and puts everything into every punch.

                      Understood.

Talking just about resume-why would the delays be held against Floyd?

I get that Manny, ODH and Shane werent in their primes. What I don’t get is why their decisions to delay fighting Floyd is used against Floyd.

You mention Canelo v GGG. Canelo waiting to fight him is rightfully held against Canelo, not GGG.

If Tank fights and beats Loma, the win will be held against Tank because he waited to fight Loma presumably so he could age and be a lesser fighter.

The waiting by Canelo and Tank is seen as a measure of how good GGG and Loma are.

Shouldnt the same thing apply to Floyd?
