Floyd is my man but he was definitely scared of margarito and paul williams. These guys were top welterweights during floyd's era and he avoided both like the plague and never faced either one he preferred to fight guys like henry bruseeles and carlos balodmir. I struggle to buy into the Margarito narrative simply because his shots were never sneaky enough. I can't imagine Floyd saw film of him and felt anything other than that he could pick him apart. Perhaps if that is true it was because of the relentlessness. It would obviously be a long night.

You can argue that Floyd is the GOAT - but your argument will get shot down in flames. Impeccable record means nothing it's all about who you beat and where the opponent was in their career. Beating Mosley at til end of his career doesn't carry the same value as if you were to beat a prime mosley. Ditto Pac. Ditto Oscar.

Sometimes I forget that Floyd’s win over Canelo was majority and not unanimous, and I chuckle. Regardless, his pop was certainly okay but not devastating. He was a boxer, not a puncher.
